Damn right i found some tuna deal at tesco last week and thay didnt change the price on it it was buy one get one free, saved £3.12 nice.top_banana wrote:I can agree 100%
Got 2 dvds on monday last week... Went back in there saturday and the same dvds were on the shelf and the label had not even been removed. So I got a couple more r&r'd
If stores are so incompetant not to remove the incorrect label / products after they have been notified / had r&r's on, they deserve to be hit.0 -
Hermann, I have no doubt that Tesco----along with all other major chains
employ staff specifically to scan this and all of the other forums. Why wouldn't they?

Ok, so item is in a promotion for £4 but they left out the item on the computer and charge you full whack of £9. Double the difference on the £5 overcharge means you get £10 back. So you're £9 down with the item, but got £10 back. Which then leaves you with the item, your original £9 back, and £1 extra.
So in effect you're still £1 up over what R&R would give you. DtD is sounding more and more fun
The only problem now is that we have to look for huge price errors, which all need to be over twice the price of the original item for it to be free.
The only thing that comes close is failed multi-buy offers.0 -
are they (tescos), STOPPING ALL r and rs, or just ones like the xmas loophole............??.

Technically its possible that the new policy should work differently.amosworks wrote:Ok, so item is in a promotion for £4 but they left out the item on the computer and charge you full whack of £9. It is Tescos responsibility to ....
a) Charge the price on display, or if two prices are displayed then to charge the lower of the two.
b) They then have to honour any Price Promise they have decided to offer as part of the contract you enter into at the till.
These two responsibilities are entirely seperate from each other and the law requires both to be fulfilled.
If the Sel said £4 & you paid £9 then ......
a) Tescos must correct the price you were charged to the price on the SEL. ie. Refund you £9 then resell to you at £4.
b) They must now honour they're Price Promise and give you twice the difference ie. £10.
You entered the shop with £9 in your pocket. You leave the shop with £15 in your pocket plus the item.
However given the level of deceit displayed in the past by a significant proportion of staff I somehow doubt many customers will actually get the refund they are entitled to under the new policy.0 -
Well that's a very interesting point. I think it's going to take each of us a few test cases with CS, but I like creating a scene :AHermann wrote:However given the level of deceit displayed in the past by a significant proportion of staff I somehow doubt many customers will actually get the refund they are entitled to under the new policy.
So if according to my incorrect interpretation of their policy in law, I worked out the overcharge has to be 100% the price of the item, what is the new minumum percentage required?
Edit: I think 60%0
