  • ben 500 sorry to be cutting but the phrase "get a life" comes to mind. You didn't even succeed, all that happened was that some food was wasted. Food that takes up the earth's resources to get onto the shelves in T's. I certainly don't say roll over but, have you ever considered that you may have been wrong?

Please do not think me an apologist for T's but does anyone seriously think that the problems mentioned here are not replicated in every major supermarket and even some local shops.

My advice, check your bills everywhere!
  • Sounds as though more than a few people are aggrieved at the change in policy. However they will get lazy with their PI. I think there will be more opportunities than you think to get one over them. After all they still have a better policy than competitors. Plus the coupon thang of course

Surely the store had one or tother of the blue & white signs on the wall. If so, how could they not follow what is clearly written in blue and white?

    Did you not phone HO?

The new policy was up...i was told by the cs that manager would not honour policy, i asked to speak to manager...he told me he was entitled to overdide the policy and therefor was doing so and he would not honour it
No..i didnt ring head office i drove straight to the local corner shop that the local mp owns and spoke to him :p and then on his advice spoke to trading standards and they then also spoke to the mp

So you have no other shops in your area at all, somehow I think you are being economical with the truth

dont want to start a major argument hear - BUT all you tesco employees out there like to reveal to the world just how much Tesco wastage is each week ?

my daughter ran the fish and fresh meat counters for a few years and the amount of food thrown away each week was hugh.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

I have a life thank you and am quite content with it, I also have a conscience and principles, but then again I am an individual unlike Tesco which is an organisation devoid of individualism as a result of it's internal culture, yes some food was wasted, but more importantly time was wasted, not mine because this section of my time was specifically allocated to this specific task, the task I will explain again as some have quite obviously missed the point of the excercise,
The task was to seek to be overcharged within a store that had removed the current r&r promise prematurely and had replaced it with the dtd promise, and to follow that with a distinct message that I was not happy with the change and was less happy with the fact I had been overcharged {as usual} and that as a result I would not complete the tranasaction, I will of course complete any transaction that is accurate {when the day comes}. Why should I complete a purchase when the store provides me with two different prices both of which conflict with my own tally? How about if I go to a car showroom and a nice little car marked up at £10k but when I sign they charge me £40k? Am I going to be happy? Doubt it, am I going to sign? Not on your nelly.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.

And you'll of course be seeking out misprices in Asda and Sainburys?
