C'mon. how do YOU a poor Tesco shopper KNOW that a SEL is incorrect!?

In fact it doesn't matter worth a toss if its incorrect. All that matters is that when you approach CS that your receipt shows a higher amount than can be traced back to te SEL at that point in time. I have argued this with a Tesco manager who informed me that "he didn't know how that SEL got there".

What is the correct price of the 24 coke pack

Everyone who has RandRed coke this week, must say £7.25, as if you go back to the stores where you got it, the CORRECT sel will now be in place, stating........£7.25,,,,,,,,so £6.95 was incorrect.

The argument wasnt about the Randr being viable, it was about the corrct price.

You are right, your receipt(and my 6) showed a price greater than the SEL.....case won......but that IN NO WAY indicates an overcharge, it only means you were charged more than the (incorrect) sel.

If you NOW go back and look at THE REMAINING meat packs, they will have reduced stickers on them, to bring them in lne with the (correct)sel.

There are two SELs one right one wrong, re was charged the correct one so tecnically he was not overcharged, however the failure to remove an old sel means that he can claim his money back, by not being overcharged.

It doesn't really matter does it.

You are right Mikey........the original statement by me, came as a defense to someone claiming that the misprice on the coke, meant thousands of innocent people were being overcharged without noticing it.

This was completely untrue, as the £7.25 was the correct price, it was the £6.95 sel that was incorrect.

Still an RandR, but not an overcharge, but a price charged more than on the displayed(incorrect) sel.

Addendum Actually(just reread your post) there werent two sels, only the £6.95..but your post still serves the same purpose...the sel was incorrect, not the price charged.

Doesnt half get himself upset this guy, would like to see him come up against a stubborn manager, if he can see this point, and gives in without admitting he is wrong.
