They have charged the higher price, however it is the current price. So I can see what Leadhead is saying. Not strictly an overcharge because it is the new price. However by displaying a lower price (even if it is the old price) it is mis leading and wrong. Call it what you like. Its a good r and r and Tescos are at fault again. Also our minds are at ease knowing that Leadhead's kidney wont pack up through de-hydration!!

That I totally understand very well.

If you pay more than the SEL instant OVERCHARGE => R&R.

    No, you're wrong

Youve been charged more than the incorrect sel says, that wins you your RandR.........not the fact that youve been overcharged.

Thats correct..........the £7.25 was the correct price, the £6.95 was the old stock price....but still a definate RandR..as I proved....

C'mon. how do YOU a poor Tesco shopper KNOW that a SEL is incorrect!?

In fact it doesn't matter worth a toss if its incorrect. All that matters is that when you approach CS that your receipt shows a higher amount than can be traced back to te SEL at that point in time. I have argued this with a Tesco manager who informed me that "he didn't know how that SEL got there".

Example..........price for £7 inch Panassonic TV comes off printer at £199.97, instead of £1099.97

    Buy one, get charged £1099.97

Now you cant honestly say youve been overcharged as the TV is never £199.97
i saw this with christmas trees this christmas
the sel said 2.99 with a scrunched up 9
    should have read 29.99
    never tried r+ring it though

I actually always state this anyway. The SEL rules, whether out of date or not.

Giving up on this one anyway, because as far as I'm concerned if you pay more than on the SEL this constitutes an OVERCHARGE, which envokes the famous line on the blue & white R&R board.

Can't see why its any different to the meat example I gave.

Its different to the meat, because somone has come out and brought out stock this time at a lower price, and has changed the sel to correspond with that lower price.

The packs of meat you are(and I am) picking up is still at the previous higher price..this is clearly(although some would argue wrong product etc) an RandR as you have been overcharged, as the new lower sel is the current correct price

Honest.....I know I'm right, you just cant seem to see the wood for the trees(no offense intended.....just feel you are reading it correctly)
