Yes, that is definately what we look for, but it isnt neccessarily an overcharge.
The actual price of the coke(look in all the stores now) should have been £7.25....the 6 stores I won my case in forgot to put out the new sel when they brought out the new stock.
The previous stock was only £6.95
The new stock is £7.25
The £6.95 sel was left out by mistake.
I was not overcharged, merely charged more than it said on the (incorrect) sel........theres a big difference...but no difference in the result.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Sorry pressed the Thanks button in error- there isnt 2 SELs.
1 SEL, 1 price on box.
Anyway well done Leadhead, rather a lot! but a big co##up for TESCO!0 -

There is a price on the Sirloin steak (16.98 a kilo) AND the SEL (13.98 a Kilo)
Can't see why COKE having 7.25 flashed on it and a SEL stating 6.95 is any different?
I got a refund on the steaks last night because the price on the label on each of the packs of steak was 16.98 and the (two) yellow SELs on the shelf stated 13.98 => OVERCHARGE0 -

orainsear wrote:Look.... the coke was flashed and scanned at a higher price than the SEL. As the policy states that you are overcharged if you pay more than displayed on the product or shelf you get an r&r. Paid more than on the shelf, therefore r&r.
That I totally understand very well.
If you pay more than the SEL instant OVERCHARGE => R&R.0 -

And it isn't aslong as it goes through at 16.98, that is also not technically an overcharge just poor pricing.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -

You arent reading it right, I'm not disputing its an RandR..but its not an overcharge, its an RandR because they havent charged you the price it says on the SEl........ok
It doesnt say that the SEL is correct.....
Example..........price for £7 inch Panassonic TV comes off printer at £199.97, instead of £1099.97
Buy one, get charged £1099.97
Now you cant honestly say youve been overcharged as the TV is never £199.97
But you can say(as written onthe policy board) that you have been charged more than the SEL..
See the difference..its still RandRable, but because of the printer error, youve been charged less than the true price, but more than the SEL.
It isnt an ovecharge, its the fact youve been charged more than the sel that wins you your case.Couponing....."every little hurts"

leadhead wrote:I had 32 case of this coke....none were mispriced......why.....how did i get them,then
Well basically, the last coke offer was £6.95, and the coke was flashed £6.95, the next batch came in flashed £7.25........but were put out under the old sel of £6.95, as the people putting them out didnt realise that a new sel should have gone out with the new stock.
While I agree that some misprices are "robbing" people, the coke is not an example of that, as the price should really be £7.25............it was the SEL that was wrong.
I never claimed I'd been overcharged, I told them I'd been charged more than was stated on the SEL.
I actually always state this anyway. The SEL rules, whether out of date or not.
Giving up on this one anyway, because as far as I'm concerned if you pay more than on the SEL this constitutes an OVERCHARGE, which envokes the famous line on the blue & white R&R board.
Can't see why its any different to the meat example I gave.0
