TGM wrote:spa2k, yes its seems such an easy job to me, maybe you need help running your shop, after all, Toscos supermarkets are big grocers shops.
You want to use the coke as such a hard thing to sort out? The second an R&R is generated, is it too hard to completely remove ticket prices completely, then sort out the problem?
but 6 whole days! and it sill gets R&Red, come on.
Nobody admits to being a numpty, but there seems to be few working for Tescos.
Maybe, I'm wrong, some staff may not take working for a grocers shop as seriously as you.
It is not the staff that are numpties but the managers who allow practices such as not sorting out a problem once a customer has pointed it out.0 -

tescos are saving money now.
they have transfered jobs to india. they do talkovers rather than actors because its cheaper. they use legal loopholes from not paying millions in tax and they are getting rid of the overcharging policy. it makes good business sense if u want to squeeze and save as much money as possible but how much more do they want?0 -
Tescos are branching into the american market this year so every penny will count, it could be a very successful encounter it might not. I think a lot of publicity over here may create a few ripples over the pond, but would bad publicity here have any affect there I am not sure. As some might say, all publicity is good, unless you happen to be a turkey farmer at the moment.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0

From discussions on this board and from comments by Tesco employees, it seems to be generally accepted that the end of the reported end of the R&R policy is due to the fact that Tesco have had to give more refunds than was ever envisaged. Although some loyal Tesco employees appear to believe that this is due to R&R "abuse", the reasons for its termination are not the real issue. It is clear that the rationale behind its implementation in the first place was excellent. It is well published that the clever advertising campaigns associated with its introduction led to customer confidence and an increase in Tesco's market share. The simple truth is that the policy
would not be getting withdrawn if it had been an unlikely event for customers to be overcharged or if bills added up properly as they misled people into believing they would. However, as this is not the case they have had to refund££££££s more than ever anticipated and are now fully aware that the flaws in their systems make such claims a joke. I don't think that Tesco would be happy for it to become common knowledge (national / international) that due to such flaws in their pricing integrity. Customers can no longer be confident in shopping there (as withdrawal of R&R indicates).Mr. T - Stop overcharging your customers.
Bring back consumer confidence.

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Old board in my local tesco but very slim picking and same CS (who was very polite and smiled) who agve me a free dvd/video player a couple of days ago so didn't bother with the couple of meat possibilities. If you want to then there is (again!) topside with basting fat. Same label but different price and no 'flash' sticker on it and also some sirloins with the same problem. It aint over til I've done singing....0
