Many thanks.
Refreshing to see you posting something useful as opposed to your usual speculative posts - designed I suspect to bait the R&R community.
By all means stay and post constructive thoughts - like Spa2k and Constantine - if you can keep away from baiting I'm sure most will welcome your input,

i'm with the dude, lets just have good input and no baiting it just bores everyone.

Do all Tesco Metro's as standard not accept R'n'Rs, or is it just depending on if the sign is up. If it's not... has anyone been overcharged and complained, and got money back or something (difference only)? The closest Tesco to work (lunchtimes) is a Metro, who dont display the sign, and often have the wrong labels on the shelves...:rotfl:0

I've RandRed a console and game from a Metro in the past, although the staff acted as it was something they'd never seen before......I can't remember whether there was a sign up or not, but it wouldnt have mattered to me anyway.....Its national policy.Couponing....."every little hurts"

bobsicle wrote:'Flashed' prices used to be anything that had the price on the item itself (like meat, stickered books or PSP games). I imagine that if you get charged the same as the price on the product, you can't claim a refund even if the shelf edge said a lower price. Therefore, R&Rs would only be available on unpriced items that scan at different prices to the SEL.
Long time since I worked at Tesco, so things might have changed of course...
Possible. I can still see that this will be a rod for their own back. Bigger queues at CSDs while they work out the difference between pack weight price and SEL weight Price (unless they install scales, of course) and a fair few people being disgruntled enough to report them to trading standards.
Still, pure speculation.
There's a few days before D day on the 19th (assuming this isn't poppycock too) for us all to indulge in one of our favourite passtimes, so there is still some fun to be had.0 -

I had fun in one yesterday. Got nine packs of beef (stewing, braising and diced) and no less than two shop floor staff tried to convince me that it was
1) the wrong product
2) Pre-packed, so there was nothing they could do
3) That the first 5 digits on the barcode were the store ID (they couldn't therefore explain why the codes on different products were different)
A manager then tried to tell me that the pack price superceeded the SEL in law and in the same breath said that as a good will gesture that I'l get the differnece and when asked about the policy immediate said that I'll get a full refund.
I really is shocking how these people will only follow policy if they're forced to.

My pal rang me this afternoon to say he's found the yellow £1099.97 sign on the Panasonic, but that is what the DVD case scanned at.
So either the guy who posted late last night was wrong, or the price was changed overnight.
Hopefully someone(anyone) may have managed to get one before the change.
I was in the store I saw it in again today......but (honestly) forgot to look.....I was on other(more important) business......Couponing....."every little hurts"
