Hi all, off topic but I do need help.
I bought a high value item, paid then was told it was out of stock ,I had been overcharged obviously,
My dilemma is I was virtually made to take a refund, I did ask for the policy and said I was not happy and would speech to the manager and C/S, I did but no joy , I have been in contact with sir terry but he also will not give, I now plan to file a claim but do not know if I have a case due to the fact I excepted the refund be it under duress .
Any advice on how to approach it , if at all.

you can pm me if you wish, or need more details

How can you be made to have a refund? Did you claim you were overcharged before receiving the item?
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

leadhead the tv is still slightly over priced at £1099 you can get it for about £900ish if you look for it ok empire direct. The px60 is the older model it was on offer everywhere jsut after christmas along with its bigger brother the TH42px60 it has been replaced with the px600 it has a slightly better image processors and an SD memory card slot for some reason.

But hey if there is a chance of a free one I will replace my old 28" with a 37" plasma. when they were released they were about £1700 I went looking ofr one as I can fit a 3 in the space for the TV but a 42" was too big.

And after seeing Ste7ieBoy's ost how the hell do they think they can sell them at that price? maybe they are going to give them all away to us just to clear the warehouses?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Following is cribbed from EPH and Omen666:

"I asked her is there any truth in the rumour that their policy would be changing and where's the board. She stated that there would be a slight change coming in and that would be that there would be no R&R on 'FLASH' prices but if you are overcharged the policy of R&R will remain as she said it is a a breach of Trading standards to advertise a price on a product and to be charged different. So anyone know what Flash prices are as I just nodded in agreement".

Don't think there's any harm asking the same question here.

So aside from being a dodgy film with a groovy soundtrack can anyone shed any light on 'Flash' in the above context?

    Duder
  • 'Flashed' prices used to be anything that had the price on the item itself (like meat, stickered books or PSP games). I imagine that if you get charged the same as the price on the product, you can't claim a refund even if the shelf edge said a lower price. Therefore, R&Rs would only be available on unpriced items that scan at different prices to the SEL.

Long time since I worked at Tesco, so things might have changed of course...
  • i work on CSD and have been told by my manager that there are big changes in the new policy all managers at the store have already been briefed on it and it will come into effect nxt week!
