Um, a tiny little kitten has just walked into my house, curled up and gone to sleep...

waaaaaah I want this to happen to me :(!

Nice one in getting the paperwork moving forward. I am sure that once it is sent off to the relevant people, everything else will seem much easier...

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Pretty little kitten was waiting at the front door this morning and got in my car. I am in love and she should be called Twiglet but I haven't seen hide nor hair of her this evening :( - please come and play pretty little kitten. Even though kittens are not a very MSE hobby to have! Maybe if I wish she really hard she will come and visit me again ;)

My naughty little sister was back in hospital last night with severe reaction - swollen lips, tongue, respiratory problems. She was there until gone 4am and still got up to drive the kids to school. Grrr! I'm seriously worried now. They don't know what is causing the reaction and now think it is her immune system. Just want her to get better.

Not a lot else to update on. Normal work day. Might do a bit of work on budgets and fire them off to solicitor to then she has everything. Or I might curl up in bed with a book. What d'ya reckon? ;)

Aww I agree they aren't very MSE, but if it is to be it is to be....

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something. You can develop an allergy later in life, but it is pretty unusual. So the thing to check is whether she is using new products, or products that have changed their ingredients (look for new and improved logos on tins/packets). It may be something like that.

But I can understand how worrying and distressing it is. My DS1 is very allergic to peanuts (though luckily not so allergic that he reactos to peanut particles in the air:eek:), and the couple of times he has reacted, it is very worrying.

  • Hey chev, thanks :). It is def allergic reaction and she is under specialist care now. They have no idea what to and she is really quite careful because she's had similar reactions before but never this severe :(

Kitty hasn't come back so trusting it to fate :) Maybe she was just a cheery angel dropping in to make sure we're ok?

I am very relaxed and chilled out which I think reflects my state of mind about submitting financial disclosure to solicitor. There is a part of me that is feeling hyper vigilant in the knowledge that things are going to kick off. But right now, I've just got out of a warm bubble bath, have food in my belly, glass of chilled white wine in my hand, am in my pj's snuggled up under a blanket with a magazine and a freebie nail varnish. Bliss! I'm getting so much better at appreciating my own company ;)

  • Second early night in a row. This one was a bit more out of boredom and the need to stay warm though! Went to bed at 9.30 - woke up just after 9am. I'm looking around me in bewilderment because the house is such a mess and the kids are at home with me this weekend. There isn't room to move! Having Fridays off is meant to be a way to tackle this but today I have to walk my friend's dog, pay a long overdue visit to a friend who I supported in labour (back in July), make some money phonecalls, feed a friendship cake, and something else that was important but has apparently fallen out of my head...

The best thing I could do for my house would be a really, really good declutter. I'm on top of the kitchen and bathroom. My room is cosy. It's just everything else in between is all a bit arrrgghhh!

I'm going to get up, get the kettle on, treat myself to egg and soldiers (yum!) and maybe make a plan for the weekend.

    Wish me luck ;)

  • Chaotic but joyful day in which I managed to walk dog, visit friend and baby (and got lovely present :)), picked up kids, coffee with a friend and then plan to spend the evening cosied up in bed with wine and catch up TV :):):) - and the housework can wait.

  • DS1 was assaulted and robbed last night by a bunch of kids looking for revenge because he reported them to the police for killing a cat. I say last night it was 4.20 and he was walking to the park with his friend. Punched him, pushed him into the road and kicked him and took his ipod. He's very shaken but ok. Sat in waiting for police. :(

oh heck Ruby, i hope your DS1 is ok and everything gets sorted out soon
  • I've suddenly realised reading that back that I forgot to mention that he is ok and unhurt. Very shaken but unhurt. We still can't place his ipod so are hoping that it is at school. The kids have been identified and the police have given them a good dragging over the coals. They gave us the option of how to pursue it and the kids have to write a letter of apology. If anything else happens they will be straight into custody. I think the fact that the police made them cry has made them seem a whole lot less scary.

And an unexpected bonus - the police officer was absolutely gorgeous!!

I had a whole load of cash to get me through clubs and spends etc until the end of the month but it has all disappeared. I've paid out pocket money (£24) and took the kids rollerskating (£10.50) so that DS1 felt safe about going back there today but I'm sure I had £70 on Thursday! Where has it gone?

Dagflippingnamit. Time for a spending diary...
