Ahhhh!!!! I am so demotivated. Sometimes I feel a little bit sad that I can't share this with anyone. Set out to get DIY done today and only managed to put up coat hooks. Won't be able to pay the mortgage this month. Will phone them tomorrow and try and sort it out.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

So sorry to hear about DS1 I am  about him being beat up like that for doing the right thing. Hope the ipod turned up again.
ref the mortgage, i know it isn't what you want to do, but can you go interest only, or extend the term to make the payments more manageable?
Dang about the invoice not being paid. I am imagining that it would have meant the mortgage would have been covered? If this is the case, then play hardball and say that you will charge them late fees if they don't pay in x time.
Hugs mate, it will get better
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

How long until the divorce/financial settlement is sorted?
Could you ask the mortgage to pay by standing order instead and then send the money over when you have it even if it is weekly rather than wait for them to collect it by DD? Might help the cash flow a bit.
Other than that I have no more ideas apart from those I have mentioned before like selling and renting but I appreciate if you do that now you have to pay a large redemption fee.
Hope DS1 is ok and the police managed to sort things0 -
My life is such a flipping roller coaster!
DS1 - police were great but ipod is gone. However, the kids have now made a complaint against the ex-h saying that he threatened them. And the police have asked him to apologise. Grrrr!!! I have now asked for a face to face meeting with the family.
I have had a couple of hours overtime this week and I've just been asked if I could do some more hours (yes please!). Will be 121 with a child with autism who is much older than I am used to but know him quite well so looking forward to the challenge.
THEN... ombudsman ruled in my favour today and Santander have offered to settle my refund of charges claim - 645 of the 713. Whoop Whoop!!!
Unfortunately, my friend has been giving me 20 quid a week to help out with childcare and dog sitting and she has been reciprocating by looking after DS1 but today her boy and mine had a massive punch up
. I don't know how we're going to resolve it but that 20 quid a week pays for the boys clubs. And the childcare saves me £8 a week. The fight happened because they've just been in each others pockets so much, no-one to blame just boys being boys (and thank goodness its not girls being girls!).
Solicitor phoned yesterday and she is making request for court order. That means we should have a court date in 14 weeks time. We're on the final stretch.
The invoice I submitted has to go through payroll so always takes ages (its a university so loads of bureaucracy). I was chasing to make sure that it had been received. I don't want to find out in 3 months that they never got it.
So, feeling more settled but still need to sort out mortgage which is massive. And Christmas.
Kitchen is spotless though
Oh, and Eager, never say never - if I need to sell the house I will. But I can see an end in sight, once divorce is settled and planing to do teacher training in 2013.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

It was soooo good Lemon Tree even if I do say so myself
:) - chocolate guiness cake with lilac butter icing and encrusted with sherbet pips (which go all fizzy in the icing), lovehearts, candy letters and percy pigs - all topped off with a Willy Wonka stlye display of lollipops!! Will try and get photo posted.
Exhausted from weekend and will have to do some budget reshuffling tomorrow. Have some overtime this week to cover for my colleague who is recuperating from an operation. Need to tackle the mortgage and the Christmas shopping this week.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

FULL ON day at work!! I earned my money today. Came home knackered. Didn't have a great start to the day despite new morning routine. Boys all over the place - end result, I had a a big old screaming, shouting fit and ended up, stressed out, upset and very ashamed of myself
. Couldn't find anything for my lunch and had no money in the house. Ended up with tin of mackerel and toast which was delicious (although it did stink out the staff room!)!
Enough about my day. It was long and tiring and far too much adrenalin for my liking.
I now need to muster up the energy to do the last little bit of washing up/tidying in the kitchen before bed. I am relishing the thought of an early night. Haven't moved things forward with regards to mortgage or Christmas shopping. But children are fed, shopping is shopped and laundry is laundered (well at least some of it!).
Will try again tomorrow xCommercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73
