    Hi all :j

Jakes Mum - yes you can freeze it. I always make double and freeze half:T

Rainy horrible day today but nevermind. Hugs and will be back later x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Morning All. Totally out of touch since we had DS and DGD here, so no idea how anyone's doing yet. (((HUGS)) to any who need one today.
Great time with DGD who's now on holiday with her Mum. DS has been OK until yesterday when I needed to deliver him to A&E last evening, Kept him in so will need to visit later on. pancreas again this time.
Went to bed exhausted to find dog had been sick all over the bed... we decamped to the spare room and I have washed bedding, including duvet, and sponged mattress. Couldn't sleep until after 3am wondering what was happeneing with DS. V tired now!
Pouring with rain but need to get dogs (one of whom is starving!!) out soon,. Will need to keep her on a lead or she'll find something nasty to eat - she escaped yesterday so this is what was wrong I think.
DH on speed awareness course today - poor thing was caught on camera a couple of weeks ago, doing just sufficient to warrant this or points on licence! Nothing excessive but there you go.
Missed you all loads. take care.

I've just had a call about my car. The parts alone cost almost £1000, gulp!
As the car is only worth about £200 I don't think it's worth bothering, oh bu&&er
    Hugs Hester

HH that's terrible! Just what you don't need. Pity we all have to rely so heavily on our cars - one way or another they really drain the money, don't they?

I am sure also jakesmum you can keep crumble or pastry wrapped up in the fridge for a couple of weeks.

HH Sorry to hear about the car, is there a chance you could get any parts from a breakers yard? I know what you mean about them, we have the Passat which DS was using ready for sale, but had to have a new electronic bit, and a new exhaust before we could try to sell it - £700+ and we will only get £2.5-3k if we are lucky.

    Hi All,

Dreamyd: Well done you with the oven! Whenever I do mine, (once a decade or so) I tell myself that if I just wiped over it once a day I wouldn't have to spend a grim fortnight on it when I do get round to it. Unfortunately myself doesn't seem to hear this wise advice.
    Sammr and Evie: many happies.
Hester: What a bu--er! Do you know anyone who can lay their hands on cheaper parts? I have 2 sons in the periphery of the motor trade who always seem to be able to lay their hands on parts for a fraction of the price quoted by garages. You need to develop a deep and meaningful friendship with a friendly mechanic who will do repairs in his spare time. Good luck with that.

Am just about to perform my monthly miracle of producing a church magazine. Good fun but time-consuming.
Have looked at mystery package rescued from freezer yesterday and 'Hallelujah' it is indeed beef casserole which we can have today with potatoes, runner beans, shallots and carrots from the garden.

Damp and dismal here today but fortunately washing is more or less up to date. Oh that the ironing was as well.

I always buy mine a few beers, and have a flirt with him when I see him in our local;):D

Afternoon all (I won't say good as it is chucking it down)
Happy Birthday to Elvie & Sammr x
HH  at car costs, our mot is due next month :(
    Kezlou ((hugs)) for today x
Another one awake early today mainly due to the rain, had to get up & change the position of the window as it was coming straight in the bedroom, also discovered the flat roof over our utility room has a leak so various buckets have been arranged until it can be seen to a drier date.
OS have loaded dw :oI did chop & saute off a big pan of onions earlier in readiness for doing something with the 900g of mince I need to cook today, but DS & mate came in & put them in cheese toasties:mad: so I have turned the cooker off & will try again later. In the meantime I'm going to scour mince recipes as am fed up with the usual cottage pie, chilli, spag bog & savoury pancakes that we usually have.

BB hope your back gets better soon & I hope everyone gets a good nights sleep tonight.
JG how you doing with OH away? ((hugs))
Sorry if I've missed anyone x

    Hugs, spoons & hi5's where needed x

    jaxx
