morning all
Well its a very dull, cold morning, kids are sat snuggling under blankets and i've got bed socks on and its only August
Its been a year since our my familys very very close friend past away, thanks everyone for the support last year. The peeps on the daily were fantastic.
Were supposed to be going out tonight for drinks with everyone, as kind of vigil thing, but as yet no babysitter. So i think today we might set off some lanterns off the gare and the boys can be a part of it then.
Other OS plans, need to make more bread, we've eaten everything i make yesterday. Going to make some cakes and other goodies for snacks and picnics.
If the sun comes out were going to maybe have a bbq, bought a big frozen pack of bbq meat out of Lidl. Don't think it will though, my fingers are freezing typing this brrr
Silvermaid - glad you had a fab holiday!

Morning everyone.
Back very slowly getting better. Was uncomfortable around 4.30am and took some paracetamol (which were useless) and then DD woke at just after 6am. More surviving on coffee again me thinks.

No idea what I am doing for tea, something easy I hope.
Got a bit more stuff for holibobs to gather, stuff like coats, shoes etc.
Got to clean bathroom today and put on rest of towels to wash, one load hanging on the line already.

Morning all
Firstly sorry I don't post in here more often, I am getting slack in my posting all over the site actually
Well today is my birthday. Nothing planned, DH at work and 3 kiddies still in PJ's. Pouring with rain here and is forecast to until late this afternoon so no foraging for us today. My Nan is coming over at lunchtime so that'll be nice and if she doesn't bring cake I think I will have to make some, although I've run out of vanilla essence so might have to have birthday cookies instead!
OS will be the usual cleaning but I think I'll start getting things ready for our holiday on Saturday.

Gym this morning and then over to local shopping centre to buy card for OH as it's our 37th wedding anniversary tomorrow. OH fancies going out for curry at a rather yummy byo fairly locally where I sometimes go with the girls. I did remind him that a newish Jamie Oliver's has opened up in Bristol...:rotfl:
Meatballs for tea tonight-last night's dinner not amazing-don't often drop clangers but had defrosted some whoopsied pork, prepared veg-peppers, onions, mushrooms and a tin of toms-yes you've guessed it -the pork was off! So vegie stew with green lentils-maybe I should have left them out! OH gallantly ate it with cous cous but I sulked....peanut butter sarnies later when OH went to train club.
Oh well maybe some for lunch before I throw it away or freeze it. LOL
Might use my new iron today (washes mouth out with soap).
Happy Birthday Sammr!
Have a good day all, hugs and spoons where needed-help yourselves....

Morning everyone. Hugs and thoughts for everyone who needs them.
Yesterday, I had a deep and meaning meeting with the cooker. I attacked the layers of grime with the sonicscrubber and a strong soda crystals solution. Really quite impressed with the results, although I think I might have killed the scrubbing pad stem!
Garden tiger was a dirty stop out last night - she slunk out about 10.30 and only appeared about 20 minutes ago , slightly soggy and somewhat smug. I think she's been decimating the local rodent population.
EH had a good day yesterday- his gf managed to arrange a load of vieweings. He's goign to see one today, with more coming later inthe week. She's coming down tomorrow night so that they can get something sorted out by the weekend. He cooked a lovely vegetable risotto for tea last night too. We polished off one of my windfall apple crumbles as well.
Today will about putting the washing away, decluttering, ready for tomorrow night and giving the fridge a a good sort out. The weather is a bit meh to today- grey and slightly damp.
Have a good day everyon.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Good morning all and happy birthday Sammr - many happy returns to you. It's also my birthday today - so the day started with a birthday chorus from my DDs and some home made cards and gifts from them - eldest DD had made me a bead necklace and a bookmark and little DD had drawn me some lovely pictures which I shall store away somewhere safely.
Quiet day for me today - exhausted after yesterday's picnic/nature trail. DH has gone to work but my mother is coming over later, so before I collapse in a heap I shall have to do some housework (can't let her see how we *really* live, after all!).
Despite the dismal forecast the weather here is just a bit grey - hoping it will stay dry long enough for me to get a couple of WM loads on the line!
Dinner tonight will be leftover roast pork from Sunday, with leftover veg made into a cheesy bake type thing and some jacket potatoes. Pud yet to be confirmed - might just be fruit, but we have a huge amount of blueberries from the garden which are going a bit wrinkly so will have to be made into muffins at some point.
Have lovely days all

Morning all.
donnygal, you are a dream mumhope my parentds are able to help me out so much when i buy my first home.
redruby  doesn't sound like fun trying to wash that much hair, you could always just keep it in a bun out the way and forget about it(and put some oil/conditioner in so it gets a good treatment)
I've got my exam this afternoonNot nervous but it's just a hassle! I've done a quick bit of revision this morning but will probably leave it at that, don't wanna tire my brain out cramming.
I don't have much to do today, other than psych myself up for going back to work tomorrow. I love my job once I get there but I never wanna go!
I finally did an approved food shop yesterday, 49kg for £39 inc postage. I managed to get two 3.5kg bags of the wholemeal flour before they sold out, lots of organic juice and loads of dried stuff for stews and some quick dinners.
HM soup for lunch and HM pizza for tea? HmmLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning ladiesss
Happy birthday sammr
Well the WM is on though think it mght have to go in the TD as looking out the window the clouds are gatheringon the upside if they go in the TD i dont have to iron them if I catch them just as they finish
Strwberry crumble is in the oven, though I seem to have made twice as much crumble as needed and now dont know what to do with the rest of it! Its currently in a tub in the fridge, can I freeze it and use it to make another crumble next week with the last of the blackberries I picked last year?
Sausages are defrosting on the side to make a sausage casserole type thing tonight (still have to figure out how im going to make 2 with only 1 crock pot as DS is coeliac so G/F sausages in his!)
might also make a jam sponge this afternoon as i've come down to find DH ate the last 2 slices after I went to bed!
