There's a difference between hoping they'll reduce the price and hoping they'll refund the difference. I took a gamble that by the time my TP arrived in store the price would have dropped. You took a very big gamble that by paying £400+ you would somehow be in line for a nice refund. You got lucky. Most people don't have £400 to bet with so I like them sat hitting F5 on Dixons, Currys, PCW etc etc then got lucky that someone didn't nick my Argos reservation.

We'll agree to disagree. We both have our TPs and we should be grateful regardless of how we got them. I do feel sorry for others that have missed out and wish I had a spare code I could give away but my 2nd order for Argos didn't go through properly.

HP Palm have just posted this update on their web store page...

BTW, so far ebay prices look to have stabilised at approx. £200 for 16GB touchpads and £235-245 for 32GB touchpads. That's down a bit from this morning, but not as much as might be expected - perhaps because all the e-tailers are taking so long with deliveries that the "glut" of tablets hasn't materialised... yet! That's for Buy it Now auctions, including P&P where appropriate.

There is a HP delivery list floating around on the web that shows some UK retailers are due stock. Assuming it is correct Dixons / DSG Group should get 1000 but they have quite alot of unfulfilled orders. I would assume all the Comet stock has been sold as they were taking orders in store to reserve one from their next delivery and you had to pay in full in store to reserve one, and they then stopped presumably as all stock from the delivery was sold.
