Just had a call from tesco and a follow up email. I ordered the 32gig at full price and they have now honoured the £115 price! Just need Amazon to do the same and my old man will be very happy, well only is there is a sudoko app for it!
I don't get the paying £350 for an item and expecting a big refund. Some people bought them and weren't so lucky.

Do you know if the 64gb, that hasn't even arrived in the shops yet, is going to be sold off at reduced rates as well?

Strange business decision by HP to withdraw so quickly from the market (though if you are pulling out, may be cheaper to take the hit rather than dragging it out) - though will this hit iPad sales/competitors or just loads of people buying who wouldn't have bought anyway?

To be honest, neither do I. I took a gamble as did many others by pre-ordering mine into store while hoping the price would drop. To go out and pay full price then expect a refund is a tad cheeky. If you really wanted the TouchPad you would pall full price and be happy. If you really wanted a bargain you would have held out for the fire sales like the rest of us.

Mind you I can say that as I'm writing this from my new shiny toy that I got at the reduced price. For me, half the fun was the thrill of the chase :D

Sorry, I didn't know that the info on how this can be done has been posted.
Maybe if Argos adopted the same system as some other retailers ie, pay for your reservation up front, bring your printed receipt along with the debit or credit card used in the transaction it would stop this happening?

Maybe Argos could disable being able to pay at quick pay kiosk for reservations and then either have to produce the original text message or email printout for that reservation

I too got one today. Somebody on the Touchpad Argos Reservations thread offered a reservation code last night just as I signed on. So OH and I went for a lovely drive this afternoon to collect it. I think it is fab but unfortunately all my family will now want one too. Does anyone think there will be anymore at this price??

I paid over400! And just took a punt that they would reduce the price, surely this fits the moneysavingexpert ethos. I did not expect anything and have not bought units to sell like some scum out there. Love the device but wish you could set up different user profiles.

It's an independent seller, ala Amazon Marketplace.

I'm giving up searching for one, have almost worn the letters and numbers from my keyboard during the past few day not to mention cross-eyed gazing at the screen!

    Last comment of the night..

Spotted this on UKHD, might be of interest to someone who missed out on the HP bargain although this isn't as cheap at £149.99 Archos 101 Internet Tablet from CPW
