Mulberry Outlet Shops? Are they Genuine?

Hi has anyone have any experience of buying from the Mulberry Outlet Stores? Such as these for example?
http://www.mulberrybagsoutlet.org.uk/
http://www.mulberryoutletfactorys.com/

Are they real genuine Mulberry products?
Really want to buy my partner a surprise pressie and she loves Mulberry but i need to be sure they are real.
Any help would be great, thanks.

    No. These sites are likely to be fakes.
    Mulberry have their own office outlet stores in Ellesmere Port/Cheshire Oaks and York where you can buy cheaper bags.
    If it seems too good to be a true then it usually is.
  • Yep thought so thanks for the advice.

    Couple of things to note.

    They dont give ANY addresses on either of these sites ,

    The "about us" section has obviously been written by a non-english speaker.
  • Got this back from Mulberry just now, guess they were fake:

    Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately the site you have listed is not a genuine Mulberry site. We are aware of it and our specialist team is currently working on getting it closed down.

    Thank you for being aware and vigilant about the problems with counterfeit websites and fake Mulberry products. We are committed to stopping the production and sale of counterfeit products through such websites and take the safety and security of those who wish to purchase genuine Mulberry products very seriously.

    We are aware of the growing problem of counterfeit websites that pop up and illegally produce and sell fake Mulberry bags and accessories, and so would like to reassure that we are taking every step to pursue legal action against them. However, counterfeiters can keep re-entering the market under new names and by stealing images from official Mulberry sources, so it can often be hard to spot the genuine from the fake. Whilst we are tackling this problem, we will unfortunately never be able to beat all counterfeit websites, so we would like to give you some important advice on how to avoid these websites and their poor quality imitation goods.

    The only way to avoid unwittingly purchasing a counterfeit product is to buy from authorised Mulberry stores or recognised stockists. Counterfeits often use real Mulberry images to deceive online customers, so it does not mean the website is genuine.

    Also, please be aware that there are many places around the world that produce fake Mulberry products to sell in boutiques, and these products can look exceptionally like the real thing. If you are unsure of a particular retailer then please consult our store lists on https://www.mulberry.com or contact Mulberry Customer Services on +44 (0)1761 234 200 who will be able to give advice on the nearest stockist.

    Online, Mulberry should only be purchased from the official website or from a reputable wholesale partner site. Auction sites such as EBay cannot guarantee the authenticity of products bought on their site, and we also cannot authenticate products bought in this way.

    Always be vigilant when browsing for Mulberry using internet search engines. Search engine providers do not monitor the sites they display; therefore many of the websites that come up are not selling genuine Mulberry product. If you would like to purchase online and are in doubt about a particular website, then stick to browsing and buying from https://www.mulberry.com

    Remember, if a website or advertised product seems too good to be true, it probably is.

    We hope this has answered your questions, but please do not hesitate to get back in touch if you have further queries. We hope you continue to enjoy Mulberry!

    thank goodness you posted rather than just purchased from these sites - they sell fake bags but still cost a lot.
    Mulberry have 4 of their own outlet centres in the uk-

    York, it's on Swinegate in the centre of town and not in the designer (very good though it is) outlet mall outside the town;
    Cheshire Oaks;
    Biscester;
    Shepton Mallet in Somerset where the actual factory is.

    If you are after a particular bag phone them and they will tell you if they have it and do mail order (£10 p&p). Otherwise mulberry stores do sales twice a year - June and immediately after Christmas when seasonal bags are reduced at least 30% and some more. The more classic bags in the core colours never go on sale but they are the type of thing you can be lucky to pick up at the outlet where the reduction is usually at least 30%. Is there a particular bag you are after?
  • Looking for a Alexa Bag for my better half, i travel through Heathrow quite often and i have realsied they sell bags at 20% less than the main stores due to no VAT, i'm back through there on the 23rd Dec so will pick one up then, cutting it close but its a big saving.

    they have a seconds one at shepton mallet in somerset on the main A37 , there is usually a stamp on inner label for seconds , you may find ebay ones with "not for resale" as well , these are factory seconds or wear test ones that can only be bought in the first place by people that work at mulberry , so probally will be genuine as well .
  • not all the bags sold at Shepton Mallet are seconds, some are just end of line or just sale lines, some great bargains there as well, a few years ago i got my Ayler Rio, which i had been lusting after for months, down from £795 to £195, so happy....

  • I am so angry with myself. I usually tut at people who get stung online by this sort of thing however I think I have just been stung by one of these websites myself.
    I was searching for the website for the official Mulberry outlet stores and landed on www dot mulberrybagstore dot com which I believed to be the actual outlet store site for Mulberry.
    I just purchased a purse for my sister in law for almost £80 but as soon as I got the 'confirmation of your order' email I got suspicious as there were no Mulberry logos and the email address to send queries to was a hotmail account!
    Alarm bells rang and having researched it online and looked closer at the website it definitely seems to be a fake.
    Gutted I fell for this and my bank cant stop the payment.
    Aggghhh the shame of handing over a Pleather Bag to my sis in law is making me cringe but I cant afford to spend any more on her now... hopefully she will see the funny side :(

    Sorry to hear about that.

    I've written about this a few weeks ago.

    Mulberry is a trademarked name. If you see ANY other website with "mulberry" in the domain name e.g. cheapmulberrybags.co.uk then it IS a fake mulberry bag site
