haha, love this, surely buying your food from these outlets (although cheap) isn't very MSE, i imagine they are near £5, you work 5 days a week that is over £100 a month on just breakfast id say, they have done you a favor personally.0

Firstly, I often work unsociably hours. Usually I begin work late afternoon and arrive home early morning. I'm sure you can imagine this plays havoc with my sleef pattern! As a result of this, I often eat "breakfast" around lunchtime, often early-mid afternoon.
Just try going into any of the big chains and asking for breakfast at 2pm, they look at you like you have just made the most unreasonable request possible. I just don't get why this is, is it really that hard to stick some bacon under the grill and put it in some bread? Why is this not a probem at 9 in the morning but virtually impossible at noon?
I have complained to stores previously about this and been given all sorts of stupid excuses, but most cafes can serve breakfast all day so why can't the chain take-aways?
What crosses my mind is whether this is actually a type of discrimination? I am not able to get to their shops at what most might consider "breakfast time", I cannot alter my work and life pattern just to suit when they might think it appropriate to serve "breakfast". I am put at a disadvantage through no fault on my own.
This is more of a rant than anything else, but does anyone know how I could persue this matter further, maybe through trading standards or similar?

Thanks, great way to make a poster feel OLD:(Wins 2015:-

I work for Greggs, I'm not sure about everywhere else in the UK, but in the shop I work in breakfast stops at 11. After this the trays and utensils need to be cleaned (not much fun if your shop doesn't have a dishwasher!) so it needs to be off before lunch time. I remember our area trialled all day breakfast rolls a while ago but there wasn't much demand for them at all.
There's a Baguette Express near us that my OH always gets bacon rolls etc from in the afternoon so maybe the OP should try there?0 -
Ever see the film "falling Down" with michael douglas? He is !!!!!! off with the world in general and goes into a place similar to mcdonalds and asks for breakfast.Girl serving him says sorry we stopped serving breakfasts 5 minutes ago and only serving lunch now.He pulls out an uzi machine gun and gets what he wants...worth thinking about.;);)counting down the time I got left.:beer:0
