McDonalds/Subway/Greggs - Discrimination?

Firstly, I often work unsociably hours. Usually I begin work late afternoon and arrive home early morning. I'm sure you can imagine this plays havoc with my sleef pattern! As a result of this, I often eat "breakfast" around lunchtime, often early-mid afternoon.
Just try going into any of the big chains and asking for breakfast at 2pm, they look at you like you have just made the most unreasonable request possible. I just don't get why this is, is it really that hard to stick some bacon under the grill and put it in some bread? Why is this not a probem at 9 in the morning but virtually impossible at noon?
I have complained to stores previously about this and been given all sorts of stupid excuses, but most cafes can serve breakfast all day so why can't the chain take-aways?
What crosses my mind is whether this is actually a type of discrimination? I am not able to get to their shops at what most might consider "breakfast time", I cannot alter my work and life pattern just to suit when they might think it appropriate to serve "breakfast". I am put at a disadvantage through no fault on my own.
This is more of a rant than anything else, but does anyone know how I could persue this matter further, maybe through trading standards or similar?

You couldn't. They are free to sell whatever they like at whatever time.
Try a place that does all day breakfasts.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
You have nothing to moan about, in all honestly. They can sell what they like, when they like. If they say Breakfast finishes at 11, or 12, or whenever....then that's when it finishes.
Instead of whinging about nothing, why don't you go to somewhere like weatherspoons or a cafe which serves 'all day breakfasts'.0 -
Oh no, greggs are discriminating against me as they dont sell vegan bacon sandwiches
And I have always asked Mcdonalds to put my burger on a wholemeal roll as I have bowel problems, but no they dont so they must be discriminating against me, can I sue them?
:rotfl: Ok, joke over.
I think the OP needs to understand what discrimination actually is.
But thanks for the laugh :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I only want something quick and simple, not a sit down meal. There are no independent cafes near me, so the chains are my only option.
I still don't understand what grounds they have to refuse to serve me breakfast. Surely it would be good customer service to give the customer what they want!0 -

Darned sight cheaper than any of the above, when the likes of Tesco usually do 2 for1 on their bacon or 2 for £5!!!Noli nothis permittere te terere

Surely it's up to the customer to find out who serves what they want and go THERE.
Next time I'll go to Mcdonalds and ask them for a 3 course sunday lunch. If they don't serve it to me, I'll report them to trading standards....because they should be giving me what I want!!!!!0 -
