All messages done in town, DD due in next week to get her eyes tested. DS2 has both pairs fixed so that should last him a wee while. I'm thinking first week back at school and both will need repaired or replaced..:rotfl:I might just glue them to his head.

Lunch done and food shop put away, sister and BIL on there way up to babysit tonight. :D

Plan now is to refill the dw, sort through more washing, give the kitchen a quick going over..make a cuppa for all and then get ready.

Cat_smith i'm sorry to hear BD is about and hope he leaves very soon.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Sorry to hear that BD has come to you, too, cat. My plan for London would be to spend as much time out and about: walks in various parks with fury friend and as many museums/galleries/gardens or similar as possible.

Listy is shrinking slowly but surely. DS2 survived the tip to the depot next to the smelly, lid-less old bin with car windows open and his nose in a bag of monster munch. He wasn't happy, but then enjoyed playing with my friend's twin grandchildren. He looks so tall and grown up next to toddlers.

    DW - is on
    hang washing out
[STRIKE]ask friend if she can have DS2 tonight for a couple of hours[/STRIKE]
sort out flights for DS1's trip to Dublin
    research home insurance
    set up diary/calendar
    parking fine
    mark speaking tests
    de-flea cat
forms for OH (DVLA and permitted work)
find something for DS2 to keep Disney cards in
    school to-do list
    data work
    stuff to work
    [STRIKE]toys to friend's[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]new bin[/STRIKE]
    bath

Need a plan of attack now, as I'm out with OH at 8pm. Tea, DW and bath are musts, and some decluttering somewhere, too.
  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me that the evil little things don't survive in the hoover:eek:
I will not be sleeping tonight worrying about that now :o Can't afford to change the bag everytime I suck one up :(

Went to the dry cleaners today with 2 sets of curtains from my LR. The didn't look too bad as they are silver and black so grubby marks only show on the white lining on the back, but I've had them 4 years and never cleaned them so I thought it was about time.
    £41!!!!_pale_
I really wouldn't have bothered if I'd know it was going to be that much. Thought I'd have them back by the weekend too but they said the 7th Sept

    Hi all

No flying here today as I've been out seeing a friend I have not seen in many many years. Had a lovely time and DS3 loved playing with her 3. Deposited him straight at a party.

Thanks for all the uni tips. I'll see how we get on with the first 2 and will post if I'm visiting any of your suggestions.

I'll put the WM on and then time to collect DS3.

There is a load of bedding in this lot too!.

Dusty - Leicester, DeMontfort, Loughborough, Nottingham, Nottingham Trent, Derby............
Greenbee - I can't sit in the car for that long and stand up afterwards, never mind do some gardening!
Serena - don't fret, I am sure we will all manage gardeners world live at some point
cat - hugs for you, the prospect of spending a fortnight at my parents would send me (and them as well) into a black pit.

Came home to a tip as everyone else has been having big fun with clay whilst I was at work. So far I have emptied and filled the DW and made dinner. Must get the WM on and have a more general tidy.

    Hi all,

I have internet :j:j:j, i gave up using my phone it was too much like hard work. I've almost finished unpacking, another few hours and it will be done. It won't be tonight though as i'm going out with OH. I've got to take a friend to hospital tomorrow afternoon and have friends coming over Friday afternoon so will hopefully get the rest done in between that.

I hope everyone is ok, big hugs to anyone who isn't.

I'll be back in following the lists properly on Monday. I don't want this house getting dirty and cluttered.
