  • My husband has been an avid stock fan since he was a small child and over the years has amassed a huge collection on photographs.. i have tonight sold 600 original pictures from the 1970/80 for £135 + someone else wanted them copying onto discs and has paid £40 for those. We have when we get them scanned another 6500 pics to list.

I have also sold loads of the kids clothes that dont fit any longer and made £63.

    Thanks Angyles.

DH took some pics of random bits while I was out last night so hoping to get things listed this evening when we get home from work.

Can I ask, how much do you ask for the kids clothes? I don't want all my stuff going for 99p unless it is something like a t-shirt. Some of my DS' clothes are still really good shape, quality, etc. look like they are hardly worn, had to let a lovely pair of dungarees go for 99p and would have liked at least £5 for them.

Some of the stuff i sold last week had hardly been worn .. i had a dress from Debenhams worn once so i listed that at £4.99, my sons had some shorts & t-shirts sets worn twice and again i started them at £4.99.

Things like jumpers, shirts, jeans etc in VGC i start at £2.99.

I give used kids clothes to charity and they always comment they look almost new or unworn, maybe I should sell them? Is it not prohibitive with postage and packing costs though?

I used to give my DS' old clothes away on Freecycle and excess to Charity shops until I couldn't afford to, and needed the money from selling.

You charge the seller what it will cost to send to them. Sometimes it is only a couple of pounds on top of what they are buying. To the lady who bought the dungarees at 99p and £2.50 p&p, she got a bargain!

Especially when clothes are good quality and will still have a lot of wear from the new wearer.
