I sold my collection of "Astronomy Now" magazines on ebay for £8.00. The buyer paid almost £15.00 postage!! I also sold a few old programmes from gigs that I had been to years ago and my old handbags always get at least a couple of quid. Some people will buy anything!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

Just a quick question.
I have discovered that I can cut and paste images off the internet and paste them into the text portion of my listing, (I paste in logos and stuff to jazz up my ad)
I dont get charged any extra for this, so...
1. am I breaking Ebay rules?
2. Can I use my own images and add extra pics of my items without paying extra?“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
I never pay eBay for using as many photos as I want, and I use lots of them. I host all my photos online (I use Photobucket but there are plenty of places to host pictures online).
I create the listing in an HTML editor and all the pictures are linked to their stored location on the web. You can really jazz up your listings this way as you have most of the features of HTML available to you. I even embedded a youtube video in one of my listings recently and it worked just great.
When creating the listing on eBay you choose the HTML option and just paste the appropriate code from your HTML editor.
One thing you need to be careful of when using pictures from other websites is copyright. If you copy and paste the photo then you may be in breach of copyright law. Simply linking to a picture would probably be okay.

hi
im not sure whether this is already mentioned on here as i havent had chance to read all the postings.
did you know that you can email radley (the bag designers) and say you have 'lost' your dog tag off your bag and they will send you one for free. i recently did this and put it on ebay and made £7.50 obvisiously people havent got wise to radley giving them away or they wouldnt sell on ebay!LBM- may2010:A0 -

I can't help but think that that's a bit.... fraudulent. It's an intentional deception for personal gain.0
