Hi All,
just a quick question, ive had one of my items up on ebay for just over 24 hours (10day bid period) and i have recieved a message from someone asking how much im willing to sell it for, and if i can end the auction early. and he is also willing to collect it, save on P+P.
my question is, if i offer him x amount and he accepts, can i just end the auction early? it doesnt have any bids on as yet, just a couple of people watching.
i will make sure i get a deposit or the full amount by Paypal before i end it (if i can end it early).

If someone is collecting an item the safest way is to accept cash only. If there are any problems with the sale, Paypal require trackable information. Even though he/she signs a recept that item has been received, Paypal wouldn't accept this as proof.
Check on the Ebay boards - soolin is very good at this.0 -

I agree with libra10 - only accept cash on collection. Any other method can leave you open to scammers. To answer your question, yes you can just end the item 'no longer for sale' or whatever other option suits you.
If you've had an offer already, are you sure you're getting what your item is worth?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Ebay really frustrates me, I had an item selling that had 10!!!!! watchers, it went unsold last night........
I think maybe it wasnt sold though as it finished at 10:00pm last night. Guess I need to try and have them end at around 7:00pm maybe?????
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0
