lamp shades found in the house we bought, definitely "retro" £45 sold to the States
old record deck, this was the best one, £700!

This is a great thread!! Given me some inspiration!! I've sold (today) 12 curtain pole rings for £5.25 - they were just sitting around not being used so thought I'd stick them on for 99p (because it was free to list) and hey presto they've sold!!

Going home from work tonight to see what else I can find lying around!! :T

Next we're trying to sell Redland roof tiles, we found 108 of them piled up in the back garden when we moved in!!! We're using the sale of these items left by the previous owners (deceased unfortunatley) to fund redecorating and renovating the house. Advertising on gumtree at the moment but may visit a reclamation yard this weekend to find out if they'd buy them.

I think this post sums it all up really.... it's a case of actually trying to work out how and where to sell anything and everything! I really like your style.... no chucking out. We have something, and we're gonna work out how to sell it, come hell or high water! Also goes to show that eBay isn't always the answer! Good stuff.

Thanks to this thread, I've been mentally thinking about the [STRIKE]clutter [/STRIKE] contents of my home and things I can possibly sell. I had a look on Ebay for gig ticket stubs and was amazed at some of the possible prices! I also had a nose at bank notes that get sold on Ebay - I've got kwacha and some ngwee coins from Zambia - looks like they could sell too!

As the old saying goes - one man's rubbish is another's treasure!

Thank you for this thread of ideas! :money:

Apologies to the owner of crazyaboutmagazines – this was one of the companies that I had contacted regarding the magazines but had no further contact or dealings with. I contacted a few companies and had gotten them mixed up.
    My sincere apologies.

In fact… although I was offered £350 (by a different company) since posting, the sale has fallen through due to a combination of postage issues my end and cash flow problems their end. I should have known it was too good to be true.
  • Thanks milkybars!!
  • We do sometimes buy magazines at crazyaboutmagazines.com - but don't think we would page £350 for W.Weekly!!

I often watch an item that I might be interested in selling myself... just to see what it goes for and how much interest there is in it. While this is really helpful for me, I realise it can be annoying for sellers.
