  • Yesssss, had some pilot training books since 2005. Have been shipping them from house to house every time I've moved, and they've spent the last 6 months in my car, increasing my fuel burn (they were quite heavy!). Finally got around to photographing them and listing them on Gumtree a couple of weeks ago, and have just sold them for £90! The money is great, but having the space back in my car is even better... whenever I took two friends out, one had to sit with boxes on their lap, lol.

Superdad - thanks for your post. I didn't know that ebay were going to start charging final value fees for P&P.

I've just looked this up on the ebay announcements page and it started from 4th September. They didn't publicise that very well did they surprise surprise. I will be adding 10% onto my P&P fees from this weekend then.

    Thanks for the headsup billieboy!
Do you think empty dvd cases and empty boxsets will sell? I have just transferred all my dvd's to small clear dvd wallets to declutter... amazing how much space I have saved!

  • DVD cases no, even charity shops turn them away. Empty boxset cases... perhaps. Although you'll be lucky to get 99p, unless it's some limited edition type box (Band of Brothers metal case or something like that).

Ah thanks, wonder what I should do with them then? Are the plastic cases recyclable?

Try offering them on your local Freecycle/Freegle group :)

This weekend, 9-10 November 2013, private sellers who list up to 100 auction-style listing(s) at a starting price of £1.00 or more in an eligible category on eBay.co.uk, will not pay an insertion fee*. Additional listing fees still apply e.g. for adding subtitles.
