I tend to put my books into most houses if its clear people are living there. If there is a for sale or to let sign or if the house looks like it might be empty, then I put it up against the wall to the side of the door so its clear for them to see on their way in... or still there for me to collect 2 days later

Just went around the rest of the houses I didnt get in my first hit. More order woohoo. Over £100 of orders so far from the first drop and a total of 10 new customers. So about 20% of the houses I droped to ordered which isnt bad at all IMO. (although I still have to pick up almost 20 books from people who didnt leave them out and werent in grrr) Will do another drop later tonight or tomorrow to pick up on Monday and hopefully that will go just as well. Fully hoping to hit that £400 min order by the time I get my family and friends orders in and a bit more canvassing done

well i just put in my first order today was on c16 for about £505.
and i have £50. ish worth of orders for c17 already. cant wait till order arrives on wed (worried there will be probs with my first order lol) i had 30 customers with that order.

does anyone know when the invoice is availble to look at online. do i have to wait till i recived order to get the proper figure?

My delivery day is a friday & I can see my invoice wed morning, so 2 days before delivery.

I'd still pop a book through if there are single men, I have 2 men who order regularly from me. One show's his book to his ex wife and hairdresser. Perhaps flag up the men's fragrance and skincare range to draw to their attention.

Fluella, lol well I would say those men are the exception rather than the rule. I seemingly left my book at 2 houses with single men in them and guess what? One claimed he had never been left one and the other just didnt answer either time I called today and didnt leave the book out. I'd rather just leave out the single men as I find them too much hasstle. Not that I dont sell mens items... its just its normally the wives who buy it lol.

Just totted up my orders so far and have £153.88 with still my family orders to come in and 3 more book drops to do I am one very pleased girl

I mentioned to a guy at work that I did Avon he took a brochure and ordered three of the men's gift sets but his wife didn't even want to look at the book. He is an older guy, near retirement age, so I dont know if that makes a difference?

I just got back from doing my first lot of houses, had a slight issue though, as I'd just posted a brochure through one of my doors, I turned to walk away and noticed an Avon brochure already sitting on their doorstep! Already emailed my SL about it, hope the other person hasn't been canvassing the rest of the street I got given!

Hello, a quick one as am I totally exhausted.

Thanks Brown.Owl for posting what can be deducted. Any ideas how you work out a percentage of the phone or Intenet? I'm also looking for a spreadsheet to record all my hours, etc.

I posted today on internal university staff notice board advertising mysel as a new independent Avon Rep and saying I have brochures, if anyone wants. It is a massive organisation and not even one email :-( I am a bit disappointed as was hoping this would be my main 'area'.

Oh well, we'll see what happnes.
