I had that email, newbeginning. Only way it will work for me is if I use it alongside an offer on my newsletter. For example, 'spend £15 and choose 3 free samples'.
There is no discount on buying the samples, think this was just designed as an insert for the customer so they can choose what they would like to try.
Wonder if they'll charge for these new pads? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Hi, I'm not new, been a member for a a few years but for some reason had to make a new account as my old one couldn't be 'found'.
I've been thinking about signing up as a rep for a short while now.
The thing that is stopping me is the ASA ruling regarding animal testing. What is the official position on this?
Thanks0 -

This was posted on our Avon websites earlier this year - hope it helps. Good luck, whatever you decide.
"Animal testing rumours: the factsSome of you have asked us about misleading claims that are currently being made against Avon, and said that you would like to have reassurance for you and your customers that we do not test on animals. Below you will find information from our corporate responsibilities team along with a website link which you can direct your customers to.
Some animal rights organisations have made false and misleading claims about Avon's animal welfare practices. You can be confident that Avon does not test products on animals.Avon Products, Inc. & ConsumerSafety:Commitment to Science…Respect for Animal WelfareThe safety of our consumers is of primary concern to Avon. We are committed to selling only safe products, using only safe ingredients in our cosmetics products and complying with applicable regulations in the more than 100 countries in which Avon products are sold. Within this commitment, we also have a deep respect for animal welfare.
In June 1989 Avon announced a permanent end to animal testing of our products, including testing done in outside laboratories. Avon was the first major cosmetic company in the world to end animal testing.
· For more than 20 years Avon has independently substantiated the safety of its products without animal testing.
· Avon does not conduct nor request animal testing in order to substantiate the safety or efficacy of any of its products or raw ingredients.
· Our approach to safety evaluation utilizes data from computational modeling, in vitro (test tube/cell culture) evaluation and clinical tests on human volunteers, as well as utilization of pre-existing data.
· Some select products may be required by law in a few countries to undergo additional safety testing, which potentially includes animal testing, under the directive of a government or health agency. In these instances, Avon will first attempt to persuade the requesting authority to accept non-animal test data. When those attempts are unsuccessful, Avon must abide by local laws and submit the products for additional testing. In 2011, this affected threetenths of one percent of Avon's products.
Avon has been active in the development, implementation and acceptance of alternative test methods since the 1980's, working to identify and develop new testing alternatives with other cosmetic companies and with external organizations. Avon's Vice President, Product Safety & Integrity serves on the Scientific Advisory Panel of The Institute of In Vitro Sciences, Inc., a non-profit research and testing organization dedicated to the advancement of invitro (non-animal) methods worldwide. Recently Avon became a Founding Sponsor of the American Society for Cellular Computational Toxicology. Similarly, Avon continues to support the Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments (FRAME) in the UK, the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing at Johns Hopkins University in the US, and the European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing.
Our efforts were recognized as far back as 1993 at the World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences: Education, Research andTesting. Also in 1993, Avon was presented with a Recognition Award from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing in the US for our dedication to the principles of the 3 R's (refinement, reduction, replacement) and the use of alternative tests for safety evaluation.
Reflecting the same commitment to animal welfare, the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade does not fund medical research utilizing animals. Through 2011, the Avon Crusade raised more than $740 million for access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer."

Just thought I would post a comment to say thanks for all your hints and tips(the one about always giving a free sample is a good idea)
I became an Avon rep last Tuesday so it's been a hectic week trying to get orders in for tomorrow!!And I can't wait till later when we go and collect the brochures in this torrential rain ha ha.
Can I just ask about the £500 target over the first three campaigns to receive the £50 cashback, can that be split into any ratio over the three? Only we will be on holiday for most of the third campaign but I was hoping to do it in the first two, would that be ok? (hope that makes sense)
I shall keep reading and hopefully now and again may have something to contribute (goes to get wellies on.......)0 -

Well done! Sure you'll soon be contributing hints and tips. You don't have to be an expert; all our experiences are different so sharing can be more helpful than you may think.
As for your query, yes, so long as you achieve £500 sales (after any returns) in your first three campaigns they can be spread however you like. To qualify for the £50 credit to your a/c you will need to have placed all three orders on time and had a nil A/c balance at the time of ordering i.e. pay your invoices in full on time too.
Paying on time is paramount - if you fall foul of that part of the deal you will be charged for the free goods pack (£150 - refundable only if the pack is returned unopened). Sounds harsh but it's understandable - some unscrupulous people sign up to Avon to get the goods but don't pay/go straight to debt so Avon need to make sure this offer is only taken up by bona fide new reps.

Actually, I think you have to also achieve MOV in each of the 3 campaigns.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Oh, thanks.... So are you saying that if you do, say, £300 worth of sales in your first two campaigns but don't place a third order i.e. because you're on holiday, etc. that the rep won't actually get the £50 credit?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Oh now this is what I was wondering about because we go 30th June and come back 14th July which gives us about 2 days either side and I don't know how I'm going to work it.
Yesterday I put orders in for campaign 9&10 and now I'm using campaign 10 and I think this is when I start with campaign 11 aswell.
I must be getting old because running two campaigns at the same time has me confused:o
On friday I will receive the brochures for campaign 12 (I think!!) so I wonder if there would be a way to get the orders in advance?!?!
I used to do avon as a teenager but only ever ran one campaign at a time.0 -

Did you actually start in C10 i.e. you ordered from C9 and C10 in your C10 order you mean? Hope so - the Rising Star scheme is only valid for new reps who started in C10-12
Am dashing out but.... Put your books out early (your customers don't know when your orders are due) with a note that you are going on holiday and then save your order on your system. Your upliner can then submit for you if you give your permission and/or you could maybe just log on whilst on holiday to press 'submit' yourself?

Yes - a) you need to do £500 sales and b) you've not hit MOV in each of the 3 campaignsHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
