Hi,
I was just wondering if its really worth doing avon now? Im not trying to be funny or rude or anything, but I have tried avon twice before now and not got anywhere!
I saw someone comment on facebook and they said about avon reps suffering to get sales cos people can order online now?
Could someone give me some views and opinions please? desperate for some income and I need to work from home thanksLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
Thanks MardenCuckoo!! I'll be putting an order in for C10 which is over MOV (as I have been avon starved for 3 camps now!!), and looks like the last time I ordered was C6 so I'm in there!! Not sure if I'll hit MOV again next time, but will email everyone at work to see if they want anything so fingers crossed!!
Thats brilliant thanks for the info :A
You're very welcome. Good luck. Actually, it's GOT to be worth making sure by hook or by crook that you hit MOV in both of your first two orders again...... Be careful, make sure you pay your invoices on time (you need a Nil Balance well ahead of your order deadline date) and you'll need to achieve MOV after any returns. If you fancy really going for it and can manage £500 worth of customer orders in your first three campaigns then the £50 credit to your account is worth £70+ of goodies too....
No ideas what the £150 packs include but my ASM told me today that they are already boxed up and actually worth £167 at full price. :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Do you know if this incentive is instead of the Smart start for first 6 campaigns?
Also - anyone know the content of the £150 worth of stuff?
Got a friend who's thinking of joining & this might swing it for her.
Thanks
My information is that the Rising Star scheme is in addition to the SmartStart scheme for total newbies. Re-instatements from C3-8 (fee free) are entitled to the Rising Star scheme but not the SmartStart scheme.
No ideas what's in the £150 packs but they're already boxed up and ready for despatch....
Go for it! Good luck. :jMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

This thread is great for hints and tips - read the first page because Lozza :T has compiled a huge amount of information there.
Really sorry you've fallen by the wayside twice. Lack of upline support maybe?
For my 2p-worth, provided you do Avon 'properly' and offer a service rather than just push books through doors and expect miracles then you should gradually build a very good earning stream for yourself.
Like every new job, it takes time to know exactly how to get the most out of it. Avon give you all the tools to grow a successful business but it's up to you how you take advantage of it.
I do know of one potential customer, who preferred to get together with her family and buy online but my guess is that they didn't want to feel 'pressurised' by a brochure every three weeks. My belief is that anyone will be better with a decent rep looking after them rather than order online because:
* a good rep has product knowledge so can advise
* it's quicker/easier for a customer to take advantage of the 90 day no-quibble guarantee via their rep
* customers get access to an earlier book (access new products sooner) if they order via their rep
* a good rep will give free samples, carry demo products of new fragrances etc. for customers to try there and then
* a lot of people prefer to sit down with a cup of tea/coffee and browse a hard copy of the brochure rather than search a website
All the above services are provided totally free to the retail customer with no minimum order requirements.
Fail to see how any website can match that.....
With the Rising Star programme, maybe time to think again and give it another try? :money:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi ladies,
I've been lurking for ages and not posted for a while but I'm still following the thread and always grateful for the tips and advice.
I'm hoping you can help me out? A customer is after a red lipstick, when I mean red, I mean like a Poppy Red, not pinky or orange red (IYKWIM). The colours in the book don't always appear the same in real life hence I thought I'd ask for your suggestions. I don't have any customers on my patch that order red lipsticks so any advice / suggestions would be brilliant. I can order from C9 / C10.
Thanks in advance for your help
Thanks for posting....
As for a red lippy, I'd suggest the Mega Impact range - maybe Charged Cherry? Or the Moisture Seduction range - Red Kiss or Fiery Red? Remind your customer of the 90 day no quibble guarantee and offer to order a selection for her to try/choose from. Win/win!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Avon's had an online shop for a very long time. I'm sure I read since 1996, so we reps have been in competition with it for a while.
The people on FB might have been referring to the Personal Online Brochure, but those sales go to reps. As long as people order from our unique brochure, the products get added to our order.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Awww thanks MarsdenCuckoo that's a great help! I will probably order her all 3 and then she can make her mind up. Cost wasn't an issue it's more about the 'shade' of red as the brand she was using is now discontinued. Apparently this discontinued 'lipstick' people are selling on fleebay for £45+ Hence she has come to Avon = one new customer = result0 -
What I always say to people thinking of trying Avon - if you don't put an order, you won't owe anything, so you may as well give it a go.
As for people ordering online - I've only lost 1 customer in 3 and a half years to ordering on the website. People do still want a rep in most cases - One of my customers asked me to track down a rep for her Mum, as her Mum needed a rep to order from, as she didn't want to have to pay postage, and she would rather support someone in their avon business than order direct from Avon. So people do still appreciate having a rep coming to their door.
I wouldn't still be doing Avon alongside working full time (and my husband working 56 hours a week), unless we found it worthwhile. Initially yes it can be a bit of work getting a good customer base, but, if you put the work in and provide a good, professional but friendly service, then those customers will stay loyal and in time it doesn't take very long at all if you're smart with your use of time. I couldn't think of doing anything that would provide me with the flexibility of fitting around work, allow me and my husband to do it together / when the other is at work and still earn pretty much at least £150 each campaign from our sales, then the earnings from my small team on top of that.
There's never been a better time to join/rejoin avon with the great offer they are running if you join in C10-C12, so definitely give it a go as you can qualify for some great freebiesAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
The Rising Star offer is brilliant so if anyone is currently a representative and they want to try Sales Leadership now is the time.0
