eek, totally got side tracked and forgot i needed to submit my order tonight, i had everything already entered but i dont submit till after teatime to give chance for any last minute text or email orders. i put it in at 10.20, reckon it will be ok? should i email my upliner to let her know?
grr can't believe i did that, i really need this one to be on time too as one of my customers has ordered stuff for her holiday, she goes 2 days after i get my delivery and doesnt want the stuff if it comes late.0 -

10.20 will be fine, I know people who put theirs in much later and it still arrives on time0 -
I would email them, and explain that it is faulty. They should then be able to resolve it for you. I have recently discovered that in order to get what you need, you have to spell out what you want and why that is. Seems to achieve the required end result! I don't wait for them to suggest a method to resolve things, just suggest one and ask them to agree it
Thanks, I'll mail them and let you know what happens0 -

Was thinking about what we get when we sign up (as standard) and thinking about what I wish I had from the start. So, I was thinking...brochure bags, calling cards (not a huge amount of either, but enough to get by until first order/delivery)...any other suggestions?
Good luck; in addition to the books, order forms and the sign-up literature I tend to give:
* 20 book bags,
* ring sizers,
* a few samples,
* various notes/hints & tips (SS uses, simple party games, intro to SLship etc.),
* a copy of the back book (prepped as I do it),
* Hello Tomorrows (current and back campaign, latter with the clearance crossed out),
* calling cards,
* copies of my own 'sorry I missed you... etc.' customer notes (+ offer to email them so they can amend to suit themselves if they wish),
* extra calling book
* my own business card (of course),
* details of Vistaprint (+ a voucher if I have one)

just a quickie, ive just started doing avon in the last few weeks. i put an order in the other week on c14, but after i clicked the send button i realised i should of put the order in on c13 additional order (was just extra books etc to get me started,) but now how on earth do i cancel this order for c14 so i can start adding all the items i need to buy? i havent paid yet for c13 as i dont know if they will send this c14 one out straight away, so confused!!!! thanks
Get hold of your upliner/whoever signed you up and ask them to sort this for you. (They should've come back to show you how to input your first order anyway so they should be happy to help sort you out now.)
The C14 order you placed early won't come out until your due delivery date anyway; maybe your upliner can help re. the extra books you want? Worse case scenario is that you just add your actual C14 order as an additional one and you'll be charged £2.50 (but maybe your upliner can get Avon to waive the charge in this instance).

I am trying to swap a snake treasure bracelet for a customer as some of the coating has come off but although I can find it in returns it does not come up when I search in replacements and it is more expensive in current brochure as there was an offer on..............do replacements not go back as far as credits? Should I just apply for a credit and pay the extra for a new one in order to keep the customer happy?
As you've discovered, you can only request replacements online from your last two invoices unlike credits, which go back further.
Try MM's suggestion; you should not need to be out of pocket yourself.

i have just got back from picking 1st lot of books up for this campaign and its looking good. already got over £100 and still at least 2 more drops to go. Think as a lot of people didnt return books last time due to holidays they are keen to replenish their stocks, plus of course the sale mag is always a winner. Fingers crossed it keeps going and i can beat my highest sales this time. Also still waiting to hear if i have the new territory so hope they will get back to me soonMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Thank you MC

Got a query about what's normal procedure for signing up new people? I am a new rep, just received my first order and put out my first drop of new brochures. I called in to see my Sales Leader to collect my 20 books for my second campaign and she has set me a target to find her 3 new people for HER to sign up, in a week in return for a £10 voucher and some Avon goodies. I may be being a bit thick but surely if I have the nounce to find people to sign up, then I should be signing them up and benefitting myself?
Can you help me out if this is standard procedure and also when can I start signing people up? I think I read somewhere you have to wait until you've done 3 campaigns.

I've heard of SLs (possibly ASMs, too) offering one-off rewards for reps who find leads for them - their friends, etc... This is usually when the rep is absolutely sure they don't want to be a SL themselves. Many don't, but are happy to help out their upline (particularly if it was a supportive SL) by pointing anyone they know who'd like to sign up in their direction.
Setting you a target of 3 per week means you'd have to start putting leg-work in - your immediate circle of friends and family will soon run out. You'd basically be a SL. If you pushed yourself to meet that target of 3 per week you'd be looking outside your F+F, and that's potentially awkward seeing as you yourself aren't a SL. There are guidelines that SLs have to work within when recruiting/advertising, but since you wouldn't officially be one I don't know how other SLs would feel about that.
When you say you called in to collect your books, I read that as you went to your SL's house to collect rather than them coming to you. That, plus asking you to find reps for them, starts to give the impression they're not prepared to put in the graft that comes with SL-ship. When I considered being a SL there was a health issue for me to consider, and I was told that it would be okay to ask people to come to me to sign-up/training etc... In the end I decided that was too much to ask/would put people off/I don't want children running around my house.
If you'd like to keep the SL route open as an option for yourself, keep any F+F you may have passed to your upliner to yourself. They'll be a useful starting point, and it would be less stressful to do your first sign-up with someone you know. Your upliner should also be there to train you, but I imagine you'll be less worried about looking like a newbie if you're signing up your mum, for example.
There may be a very good reason for your upliner asking you to go to them, and for finding them reps, but I'd be a little concerned about training if you decide to become a SL yourself. Your upliner would be responsible for training you in person, including at least the first sign-up.
You can become a SL as soon as you like, but bear in mind you'll be training other people in how to be reps so you need to be confident in dealing with canvassing, how many books to order, returns, additional orders, re-charges etc...I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
