    Hi all again,
I got my first none friends/family order yday yippee!!!
When i was signed up to avon i only joined with the intention of working toward sales leader role i just wondered out of the sales leaders on here how long were u a rep b4 upping the game??
did ur asm suggest it to you or did u ask?
Also as a sales leader do u haveto do ur own sales too?? and do u have certain roads to do too?
Thanks all, i learn so much from you guys
    xx

I came on board with AVON as sales leader back in august last year I with intention as sales leader like you.
I dont have many f&f to sell to so have more territory i take on as many territorys as i can per campaign normaly 2-4 and when i get a rep near that territory i pass customers over to them ( with asm permission) my sale's are £540 this campaign by doing this and i am aiming at presidents club so that helps I am also aiming to sign ten a campaign so sales have to cover cost of business tool's including printing as i have a slip for all brochure drops (basically saying your area is free customers waiting pease leave street name and no. with tick box want more infor for being rep?want brochure ?dont want brochure?
saves load of time and i can find the answers i want plus dont have to door knock as most of time books are out side waiting for collection.

Hopefully it means some new people will be moving in soon then :)

Yeah the problem is though its students who don't tend to stick around for long or are out that often I never get my books back :( There are a lot of student housing where I am because I'm smack in the middle of two main bus routes into the city centre where there is Liverpool John Moores uni, Liverpool uni, and LIPA, then in the opposite direction on both bus routes is Liverpool Hope Uni:rotfl: Also the halls of residence for some of the uni's are on one of the bus routes so they go past heading there and spot student accommodation to let and move in. Its a great location if you have a house that can be converted into lots of rooms to rent, not so good for reps of any form :(

I'm hoping that expanding my territory in the opposite direction might be a bit more fruitful. More "family" or "couple" houses that way rather than students as they're much smaller and generally a case of 2 up 2 down style houses ;) Just waiting for confirmation from my upliner as to which streets I can cover as there's already a rep doing some parts of some roads but the last I heard she was yet to put in an order!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Had a migraine yesterday so going out for my books today instead. I text/Facebooked my customers, everyone else in on re-canvass. I hate being late but I literally couldn't move off the sofa.
  • Hi, i have just started Avon and i have been given 2 roads with a total of 128 houses is this a normal amount or do i ask for more, also i wanted to know where you get the calling notes you put on the books to say when you are collecting the books and when the order is due for delivery, also whats an sl or upliner, regards Lisa

    Hi
    welcome billysmum
    1) 128 homes is about right, AVON normally gives 100-150 houses.
    2) the calling notes I use i made up on word but your order forms tells your customers when you are collecting and delivering the goods at the bottom
    3) A sales leader is a rep who is now recruiting other reps for AVON (as a business) and and upliner is the sales leader above a rep.
all the best with your AVON
    and goodluck

  • Hi, got a quick question I hope someone can help me with? I've just tried to do a credit online for some demo products I ordered from Campaign 5 but I can't find them on the system anywhere. Thinking about it, its probably the first demo products I've tried to return but as they're bras and none of them fit me, I don't have much choice! Can we not return demo products? I ordered them thinking I could happily return what didn't fit me, there's about £25 worth and thats wiped my profit out for this campaign if I can't send them back.

I also ordered the new denim leggings which are awful, really thin and I couldn't even get the on properly.

Any answers to this gratefully received, if the answers no then does anyone want any new bras.....?! :rotfl:

  • You should be able to return demos no problem. Either bring up the invoice in credits or input the item numbers.

I got the denim jeggings too - thought they'd sent me the wrong item as are more like tights than leggings/jeggings. Definately returning.

  • Soz peeps, I haven't seen the 'jeggings' but did hear the same so I've stayed clear. I was told that they were more like 'denim-look tights'.

Lisa, to add to Dean's post (which got to admit confused me a little) an Upliner is whoever appointed you - whether that be a Sales Leader or an Area Sales Manager. All Sales Leaders start off as Reps but earn extra commission/bonuses for recruiting/training/managing their own teams. Like Reps, SLs are self-employed but Area Sales Managers are employees of Avon.

Agree with MM, Demo products can be returned too (there's only one product that can't be returned if the packaging has been opened and that's now in clearance). Just search either by description e.g. 'bra', by invoice or if you can be bothered to search out the item no. then that's an option too.

  • I know Avon reps need to be registered as self-employed. I'm already registered as self-employed as I used to have a business on the internet. I've now closed that down this month as I'm focusing on Avon instead.

Could I ask what you have as your 'business name' and 'occupation title', please? (My current 'occupation title' is Internet Retailer as I used to sell on the internet.)

    Many thanks!
