Hi, i would eventually like to do parties. just wondered what people have in their 'kit' im wondering if there is anything i can buy over the next few campaigns to spread the cost? or is it better to wait till im ready to ensure products are still available? xxx
Depends really on what products you like yourself. Whatever YOU rave about, your friends will at least try and hopefully buy.
The most lucrative parties for you would be skincare - if you can get your customers hooked on skincare then they HAVE to buy it from Avon/you! :rotfl:
A 'Bargain Box' is always useful to have too.
Personally, I wouldn't wait to build up stock; you are reducing the time you have to sell/return it i.e. 90 days. Just book a party as soon as you can after your next delivery date and jump in feet first.
Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I've recently signed up as a trainee sales leader and my ASM didnt say anything about me having to pay £25 :S She was just telling me what I could earn.....
Confused......
Oh dear; yes there is a £25 charge for your Business in a Bag but the charge is not levied until you return your Sales Leader Agreement and your Bank Details form. I always suggest that TSL's wait until they know they will qualify within 3 campaigns of tagging their first rep before they submit their forms - that way the £25 charge is offset by the BDB (£100 up to C5 but reducing back to £50 C6 onwards) for qualifying.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have almost 200 houses now so I've ordered 60 brochures for C8, I'm still full canvassing at the minute, while I get a feel for who's not leaving brochures out, who doesn't want brochures again that sort of thing, I'm hoping to drop back down to 40 brochures by C10, as £9 is a fair amount of commission really.
Each to their own but are you sure you need so many books?
All depends on how much time you have, of course, and how long you leave a book with your customers. Am a supporter of 'knocking and asking' rather than 'stuffing and running' - both ways work and that's one of the advantages of Avon i.e. being able to choose whichever route you prefer but I've never ordered more than 30 books for myself (even when my customer list was over 110). What can I say.... am originally from Yorkshire and we're well known for being 'tight'! :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thank you i just wondered as i think she was struggling. I have been offered some of the roads now but it would work out too many houses if i kept the lot. If that was the case i am really not sure how i was given them in the first place but never mind. She is now working out which ones to give me - hoping the closer ones but who knows
Thanks again for speedy reply
Only guessing but it could be that your ASM is supporting your upliner and 'reserving' territory for you to build your own team?
It's a good idea for all SLs to check their own and their team's territory - easily done via SMA. Sometimes ASM do 'jig things around' i.e. if reps/SLs resign/fall away.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Even if you were a sl, unless you are 'active', ie have a team of at least 5 of your own reps, it would make no difference to your upliner anyway.
Just a little point and slightly off-topic i.e. nothing to do with territory, but depending how many SLs they have on their direct team, upliners can earn commission from their SLs' team whether that SL is qualified or not.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I'm biased because I do it all in one lot anyway, but I'd say one big order is now the most convenient way to do your order.
Like JF too, I've never input customer details. (Would cut down on my creative ordering opportunities  and that's half the fun of doing Avon!) Did wonder if we were working towards the American system where I was once told that customers had the option to input their orders online and then have it added to their rep's order....
Signed a newbie up this week (well if she places an order I did...) and she was really surprised that she would have to put her customer orders together! She thought Avon would deliver her order, ready-sorted so all she would have to do was hand them out to her customers! :rotfl: Is that how Virgin Vee used to do it?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Morning all , well all is quiet on my avon front. Today will be my second time collecting books in (so far all with empty order froms :-( ) so ive been using my time tring to find ways of recycling my old books!
I have put messages on some saying its an old book if they wanna see a new one n my number, I've left these in various places. Then I ran out of places lol.
So I set too making origami sample sachets out of the torn out pages, they look really cute!
I am now trying to design delivery bags out of the pages :-s to recycle the books n save me buying any.Struggling with this one! what do you all do with em??
xxx
You sound really resourceful; well done, you!
I tend to keep a few of each campaign so I can use them for marketing items at parties i.e. when they come up cheaper in the more recent books.I've tried the 'this is an out of date book, please contact me if you'd like to see a current one' but despite my also adding 'please recycle' I found that a lot of them were just put back out so I had to go back and pick them all up again.
Apart from that, mine just go in the recycling bin.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

What do I do with catalogues.
Lilo Lil poos and pees all over them
Explanation. She's my bunny & the catalogues sometimes line the hutch - not very absorbent though."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -

Of course, but if they have no reps at all then it makes no difference, which was what I'd meant, to reassure them that they wouldn't have been 'made' a sl without knowing it to benefit their upliner, as if they have no reps at all there's nothing to benefit from.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I seem to remember someone saying a while ago, that VV delivered orders ready bagged up, might have been on a previous thread from someone who decided Avon was better than VV, as you can do creative orderingAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
