Does anyone have any ideas for a website name please? Thinking of setting one up for building my team, but inspiration is refusing to strikeIf anyone has any bright ideas that they don't mind sharing I would be very grateful :A
You can do a blog for free with blogger and they are easy to set up and its set up through google.
You can choose your own name if you want eg marysmithavon @blogspot.comGreat opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Further to my last post I have received an email confirming my item was dispatched 7/11 which I find hard to believe as I put my order in that evening and it still says prepared in order tracking. Said I had to wait 10 working days for delivery so I pointed out that as they are blaming this on royal mail that they work six days a week and so the ten days is up today. Still not received in post today.0

If I have ever forgotten something important I do it as a second order, pay the £2.50 postage and get within a few days.

hi all, I was wondering, because time is so tight between c18 and c01 - what do you do? Have any of you put out two books at the same time with different delivery dates? Has this worked for you or did no one order from the second book with the later delivery date?
I was considering putting c18 and c01 out together as I will be a bit short of time in the run up to xmas. Would appreciate other peoples thoughts on this???
ThanksBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
Hi every one just wondered what every 1 thinks am signing up to Avon after Christmas and have found myself a really lovely sl am thinking of starting at the beginning of January on c3 if I do c3 would it matter if I didn't deliver that order till the last week of jan that way everyone who's ordered has paid their first payment of Christmas off their credit card and mite order a little more also would just after Christmas be a good time to start canvassing on territory as everyone will still be happy from there hols I just won't knock on ebenezer scrooges door lol0

I get my books ready before, and usually people who order from c18 get a c1 book in with their order and that's about the only people I deliver to. Reduces my chances of orders, but suits us as just don't have the time to be dealing with large orders at the time of year.
I might not about much over the next few weeks - one of our beloved bunnies died at the weekend, leaving her hus-bunny feeling very sorry for himself, so are going the process of adopting an adult bun from the RSPCA as a new friend for him. Assuming we pass the home inspection - apparently we would be refused if we went for a cat, as we keep our cats as house cats. Can't see the problem myself, they're happy, healthy, cared for and get lots of attention. Seen no end round out area run over, and lots of our customers have said their cats have been shot and injured (even killed) by kids with air rifles etc. I'd rather know they're safe than let them out and they be injured, they've never been allowed out so don't know any different and aren't bothered. So well see what they say about our pampered bun, will be most p'd off if they say no, guess well have to keep an eye out for a lady bun at the pets at home adoption bit as we can't put a baby bun with him. Sorry for the rant, but seems a stupid rule!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I would think Jan or Feb would be very lean months - people usually stock up beofre Christmas and also get stuff for pressies so very little gets bought I would say - I have often done all books1-5 but its not until about the 5th that things pcik up - most people spent out by New Yr.hi all, I was wondering, because time is so tight between c18 and c01 - what do you do? Hard to believe but who knows how Royal Mail work..... I posted some parcels overseas (Europe) recently - all at the same time and I even asked for them to be put in the same RM bag. Some arrived within 5 days (over the w/e too :T), some took a week and one took two weeks (it actually went overseas - goodness knows where, came back again to the UK and then finally reached it's intended destination)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I very rarely put out two books together (cuts down on my Creative Ordering opportunities).
The quickie campaigns just need a bit of planning i.e. the advantage is that you can switch your customer base round i.e. best customers on your current campaign and the 'problematic' ones on your back campaign without them even realising.
Cut down on your workload by 'starving' your worst customers of a book totally so by January they're gagging for their Avon fix in time for Valentine's Day.
Make your customers feel appreciated/special by giving them a Christmas card and a little 'thank you' gift for their support this year plus maybe a voucher for 10% off your their order. The biggest gripe of a lot of customers is that they are let down by their Avon reps i.e. they just get used to them and then the rep just doesn't come back. Let your customers know you are 'a stayer' and available for orders over the Christmas/New Year period but equally you appreciate they may like a break too. Everyone is different, of course, so just keeping in touch with your customers is about the best advice I can offer.
Hope that helps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well done, T4163; finding a good upliner is half the battle! :j
Got to admit, as 7R8 says, starting from scratch in January will not easily bring you big orders unless you've done some groundwork before or you're really prepared to put in some effort i.e. market stalls, offers, discounts, E-Bay maybe? Everyone does love a bargain though, which is why Avon then bring in their Sale brochures. Haven't actually seen a C3 brochure yet - has anyone?
Avon have been offering some belting deals to their reps at the mo e.g. Glimmersticks @ 99p etc. so that's a good way to stock up before Christmas and offer 'below catalogue prices' in January.Doesn't always work but something to think about.
Reverting to your query, strictly speaking you have 13 days credit from the date of your invoice before you need to pay your Avon a/c. (In reality, you can extend that slightly.) If your delivery is the third week in January you would have until the first week in February to pay Avon so sounds like your plan would work.
On the other side of the coin, whilst orders are not easy in January, it could possibly be a good time to recruit as people will be looking for ways to earn a few extra £££s and/or supplement their household budgets by being able to click into discounted products. :T (One man's meat and all that..... :rotfl:)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
