  • Thanks, I Geek, for the tax help and everyone else who replied about xmas presents! I'll have to see what bargains I can grab for those customers who have ordered every time!

Don't forget to make the most of the free Christmas Gift in C18 although they're showing as short on stock already so am wondering what Avon are going to offer as a substitute if they DO run out.....

WEll, DH rang the rspca, the paperwork didn't get faxed till late yesterday, so got to wait till the co-ordinator gets the details, then they'll pass it to a local volunteer who will then contact us for a home visit....very long winded. DH told them so!

But, in the meantime took the cats to the vets as they were doing a free dental check up & claw clip today to support a cats in need fundraiser going on in store, and the veterinary nurse who is mental about rabbits was there (thats who looks after them when we're on holiday), so talked to her and the cats in need lady. CIN lady said she has a lot of people saying the same thing as us, that everything takes so long, and its such a pain and the rspca is so awkward, that they end up getting a cat from CIN instead. She said she has no problem with house cats, every cat is different and some are quite happy like it so whats the problem - at this point both cats are looking ever so adorable in their carriers lol. But - they both suggested a small charity that re-homes rabbits, and they'll both do a recommendation so that we don't need a home visit, which I thought was so sweet, saying as I've never even met the CIN person before! So, going to email and see if that pans out. Though as we're building the new hutch tonight, I might pop into the local pets at home tomorrow to see if they have any lady buns needing re-homing, as the nurse said with the tempermant of our boy bun, it'll be fine to bond him with a female really soon after they've been neutered as he's so laid back. So feeling much more positive that we aren't such awful people afterall! :)

You're not awful at all.... don't ever think that. No pet lovers could ever be!

Good luck and glad you've met this lady from the CIN. Everything happens for a reason! :)

Ha, so you're (one of) the guilty party eh?! Great deal so no wonder they're running short. Wonder if Avon are regretting it. :o

Incidentally, if anyone ordered the Manic Monday 'Autumn' Pack in C17 - item no. 67686 @ £10 nett for a Hair Colour, Face Perfector, Glimmerstick and Colortrend Eye Duo - you may need to organise any returns via phone. Certainly, on my system it's not showing either as a pack or individual items as available for credit.

Well I suppose it depends how friendly you are with them but I would say 'thanks for your custom through the year and Happy Christmas'

With Christmas Cards, there are a few customers (that I've been going to for 5 years!) whose names I don't know. They don't put them on the order form and on the odd occasion they've rung up I've forgotten to remember it, doh! Will probably put something similar to 7roland8 above.
Am also planning on doing an A4 newsletter with C1 orders (mid dec) where I can ramble on about:
How grateful I am for their custom
Acknowledge those who have had a difficult year with optimism towards 2012
Ask for telephone numbers to ensure I have them in case of snow or other problems
Push for any more leads from family/friends/shops/workplaces
Remind them that the wall planner enclosed is for them to keep (got a couple back last year!)
Explain that the first couple of brochures for 2012 may come thick and fast

I will then separate into two editions:
One for my besties who will see C2 before Christmas with a delivery date before New Year (never tried this brocure before)
One for my non regular orderers who will see their new brochure in 2012 (will put them on back brochures)

Tried to organise my avon bits the other day and was shocked at how much stock I have from special deals/freebies/creative ordering. Must sort out a list of who gets what and ebay the bits that will fetch a few pounds. I MUST NOT buy in any more bits for pressies:eek:

Thank you for your business in 2011; Hope 2012 is good to you.

This is what I print off on sticky labels plus my name and contact details. There are clip art images of holly leaves either side of 'Avon' but they wouldn't print on here - obviously any Christmas-type clip art images will do to make it look more festive.

Means I only then need to write 'Best Wishes' and my name. :)

Yes, these have been popular with my customers despite C18 not being great in general for me. I've got 11 ordered and 4 are going to customers. The rest will come in handy if backorder ones in C1 are delayed.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
