In a official statement HP said: "A limited quantity of TouchPads will be available in the coming weeks in North America only. In EMEA we are discontinuing the webOS hardware operations and will not offer any additional products beyond what might be currently available in selective outlets".

Just saw on XDA that Insight UK had some earlier today albeit at a slightly higher price but still reasonable (£149 for the 16GB and £178 I think for the 32GB) - I was out and about doing stuff this morning and have just seen the post, otherwise I would have posted the info here immediately, sorry they're all gone now apparently.

i made a reservation on the sunday before the price dropped to pick up on thrusday, when the price did drop at argos, got there and was told there wasn't a touchpad waiting for me, my reserve had been canncelled even though it was valid till the following tuesday. to day i got a email from argos to review my recent purchase. what recent purchase? looks like someone else, eg staff, picked my reserve item up

The link provided above is the HP refund site for people who bought the TouchPad before the 'fire sale' - that is before 23rd August. If you bought after this, you'll be dealing with your retailer to pricematch after the big drop.

My order with Comet has been processed and had money taken out (actually taken out, not just authorised), last week. I ordered on Monday 22nd, when I called last Wednesday they told me I was one of the lucky ones and would be getting a tablet, but the delivery date had been set to 5th September.

Delivery due date is Monday 5th. Supposedly, according to the list going around, they were due a delivery of 300 Touchpads yesterday, but when I called nobody had any clues what was happening.

If they're going to deliver on Monday, they'd need to dispatch today, and tracking is still coming up empty.

Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone else got any further than this with Comet?

If they're going to turn around and cancel AFTER having processed the order, taken the money out, and supplied a delivery date, I will not be very pleased!
