I am resisting the temptation to google the Bristol Stool Chart. I know it will make me feel queasy but I'll end up doing it anyway.

I know someone who had it printed onto a mug :p

I'm glad to see folk that have taken my advice and wont flush anymore :j :j a BIG THANKYOU from me and all other maintenance workers.

It always seems to be the case "of oh ive never had any problem so i'll carry on regardless" sorry ladies but you are the cause of the problem, just because you have'nt had a blockage does'nt mean it causes no harm, how many other comments have there been from where they have said the same as me 3 - 4 ? some say ignorance is bliss, but being ignorant in this case is costing £1000's as I have said and causes some people mysery when their homes get flooded with your muck ! ( im being polite ) spare a thought for others will you and stop being selfish.

Oh the poo chart ! here it is in all its glory :

So, what would be classed as normal?? I'd have to guess at number 4

I think 4 is what would be classed as average.

Doctor told me what is normal varies from person to person eg. I have only ever really been a mix of 5,6,7 - rarely have solid stools but this is 'normal' for me.
  • 3 or 4 is "normal", though for some people 5 is the normal morning habit  (Not me, my OH. Sometimes the noise of number 5 wakes me up!)

I've been pregnant twice so had 1 quite a lot. I've only had 7 once though, memorably :D

Didn't all this plop chat start with some cheap sanitary towels? Who'da thunkit? :rotfl:

7 only once you lucky thing! :)

I am pregnant now and still have my usual 7 just more often! Don't think my body knows how o be constipated even in pregnancy ;)

I blame the user who posted the 'poo chart' but then their username is muckybutt so maybe they have a bit of an obsession.... Lol
