I am aware that the protein in the blood in the dishwasher will be denautered by the high temperature, but our 'grossed' out attitude has ensured our survival. For example ebola is believed to have originated from eating monkey brains as bushmeat,the organisms don't have to cross the species divide, when the species is a close relative or even the same species. It is in short a form of cannibalism.

Yes, but all the people living in pigpens household have either popped out of her, or have put those popping out, in IYSWIM so anything they'd catch via this 'cannibalism', they'd already have

Puddy-yes,cystitis symptoms are quite normal during your period, as are thrush symptoms, but they are more likely to be caused by synthetic knickers, using pads, or shower gel/bubble bath than by the dishwasher detergent. Unless of course you are super sensitive to one of the ingerdients, but then I'd expect you to have digestive upset too

It may have been an extra added cause, I was diagnosed with endometriosis at age 20 which was one of the reasons for the hysterectomy. Saying that though, no I was not aware EDS caused heavier periods!

Must say, the hysterectomy was the best thing to happen....changed my life overnight.

Can I just ask a question. Is there an approximate weight that girls usually have to reach before they start their periods? As I said before my daughter is 12, 5'5 but built like a rake (just the way she is, as she eats very well). She's 5 stone, and in other ways showed signs of puberty quite early.

Wet wipes are a great idea to be kept in the book bag for emergencies. I had so many disasters at school as I was never regular or prepared, that I'm over-cautious with my daughter!

They reckon girls start at around 7 stone.. but that said i was more like 5.5 or 6 stone.. very tiny and very scrawny..

I was skinny (I was a dancer who trained for many hours every day so no extra fat at all), 5ft 2 and 11 when I started, my mum was skinny, 5ft 4 and 15 when she started.

Couldn't tell you what weight I was though, I went by waistbands back then....mine was 22 inches as was mum's at 15.

for 12 hours???? What sort of times is she going to bed? I think with that schedule she should be pretty tired by about 9or 10 pm so why not go to bed then??Perhaps time to cut back on Air cadet squadrons if all they are doing is charity work and its taking that much out of her time and energy wise..

reverbe - Im pretty sure loads of teens sleep for 12 hours. Go to bed at 11, get up at 11, etc Im sure I did that loads of times. Its a weekend, who cares what time the poor girl gets up!

Emarillo - Ive heard 7 stone too. 5 stone is tiny for someone of that height, but my sister used to be pretty skinny at that age and I know how annoying it is when people just assume they are anorexic or something when you know they are eating fine. Sounds like shes just gonna be tall!

There is a link to weight - generally, if a population of girls is heavier, they will start puberty earlier than lighter girls.
