i was to have my appointment with the cab today.while i've been tidying the house i misplaced the card i had the appointment on.i was sure it was 2.30 but i thought i'd phone and check.it turns out it was 12.15 and i've missed it.i'm so stupid.i've got all my paperwork out ready,i've got my clothes out to get changed.i could just cry and thats exactly what i'm doing right now.to make matters worst the lady said that because i missed my appointment they may not offer me another one.i have to phone back next week.there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

They won't give you another appointment? What a piece of nonsense. Make a complaint. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when they're stressed out by lack of money. You have every right to use their service. (Excuse me while I rage on your behalf:mad:) How annoying though. You have enough on your plate without dealing with a grumpy CAB worker.
As for the charity shop...SELL you stuff! Even a tenner's a help!:DIf you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
well it's been quite a good day today.i did 4 hours agency work this morning and have another 4 for tomorrow.
i put a couple of wanted ads on freecycle, one for a camera and one for a lawnmower.i have been offered two cameras which is great.i'm going to collect one tomorrow.the first thing i'm going to do when i get it is put a top that i wore to the hen do on ebay as i have just seen pictures of myself wearing it.not a pretty site:)
also.someone has booked to stay in my spare room.it's only for one night next month but thats ok.they havn't even put the new pictures on my site yet.
also, best of all.i have another appointment booked with the CAB for thursday.i will definatly not miss this one.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

Yey! How exciting to have your first guest! What a brilliant idea greenanne.
Hope the CAB appointment goes well. And don't forget to complain about their rude service...AFTER they have helped you.:DIf you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
well i've got a bit of catching up to do so here goes.
the first thing to report is that i found out from the CAB that there are no benifits that i'm entitled to, but that was no surprise.he did check out my tax code details and national insurance payments though so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
i picked up my new camera from freecycle,i'm amazed at some of the things people put on there.
i had a birthday last week so i'm another year older.a friend treated me so we had a lovely day out at the theatre then had a meal.i did get some cash as well.i paid a small niggling bill that although it wasn't for much i never had the money to pay it.i also got my hair cut.i think it maybe the first cut i've had this year so i've not done to badly.:)
i havn't been very good with my nsd's over the last few months so i'm going to head over there to set myself a target for the month.i'm also going to work hard at keeping my spending diary up to date.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

well this is the last month of my old bank account.from now on everything will be done through my new basic bank account.i've had my agency money going in there for afew weeks so i've built up just a little bit towards making sure i always have enough for my dd's.
i've missed afew payments of other things.barclaycard was one which meant i couldn't use the card, which was achually a good thing in the end.i was over my overdraft limit so i couldn't use my debit card either which was probably for the best to.it didn't seem like it at the time when i kept going to the cash point and it wouldn't give me any money.but i've managed to get by so i couldn't have needed it that much.the only real problem was i had no money for petrol so a friend lent me some which i have paid back.i did my little cleaning job this afternoon and used the money for petrol for this week.
i hadn't been shopping for three weeks before last week.i achually didn't have a penny to my name,it's amazing how having no money changes the way you look at everything.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

i havn't been around updating my profile so much lately but it doesn't mean all the issues have gone away, mores the pitty.
i've applied for a new cc as my mbma ends in june.they are keeping me waiting long enough for an answer.i just know they are going to turn me down,i'm not sure what i'll do then.
i've got my fingers crossed that my wages go into my new account on thursday.i've been getting used to having an account without a debit card.twice i've nearly ran out of petrol and the only way i could get money is from a natwest hole in the wall,so i'm getting more organised.i think i may start putting money for food shopping in a jar at the start of the month and then when thats gone thats it.sounds good in writting:)
i am going to use the money from my little cleaning job to pay my sister back the £180 she lent me when my heating went wrong.i have £20 so far,it's a start.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

well i had to write this morning.
i've just recieved my new cc in the post:jnationwide.20 months interest free with a £2000 limit.i've had it about two hours and it's already maxed out:rotfl:
i've t/f my mbna which was great as my 0% ended this month on that.and also some off my barclaycard, although thats not cleared.it is a worry off my mind though.
also this week.my wages was paid into my new bank account so everything is up and running with that and i've been doing an average of at least one agency shift every week which makes so much difference.
i'm having a small barbaque tomorrow with my neighbour.just afew friends.everyone is bringing something.i thought i might get some union jack napkins and plates but i just couldn't bring myself to spend money on them to just get thrown in the bin.we'll still have a good time without them.
this week, because i now have the new bank account i have had a little bit of money in my purse, not loads but a bit.but because i have it i spend it.in the past month or so i didn't have a penny to my name.i went to work every day with an empty purse and cc's that wouldn't work and i felt very hard done by,but at least i wasn't spending anything.now i have afew pounds and all of a sudden i just feel that i have to spend it,but then i feel angry with myself.when i sit down and think about it i think i prefer the hard done by feeling,at least i still have something to show for it at the end of that.i wish i was the sort of person who could have money in my purse but never spend it.i am better than i used to be,but i'm not completly there yet.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

Hi Greenanne
Have just caught up on your thread as it's been rather too long since I last looked. I don't think I have read any of my subscribed threads since beginning of May.
Sorry to hear about the car costing you money and  to not being entitiled to any benefits.
Good news on the 0% CC :j, that should help you for a while. How's the spare room going? Have you had any more visitors?
Did your seeds finally get going? Mine have been a bit hit and miss.
Take care

hi 666paw,nice to see you.i hope things are ok with you.
i must admit all of my seeds have been a bit hit and miss so far this year.even the things that always do well like radish and spring onion were no good.the worst thing is my neighbour does all the same things as me and everything just goes mad in her garden.i'm not bitter though:)
at long last the new pictures of my spare room are on the site and they are sooo good.i'm really pleased with them the whole house looks so bright,i would stay there myself:) i have been thinking about putting the price of the room up to £20 a night as we get nearer to the olympics.i don't think thats bad for the use of the whole house.
my first month with my new bank account is going ok so far.i have one more dd to come out.i have an agency payment to go in on friday which will cover that and then it's just a case of trying to get to the end of the month spending as little as possible.my old bank account is still a bit of a problem at the moment so i need to get at least £50 in there asap to avoid charges.it's because they add interest that takes the account over the limit then they add a charge:mad:
it's fathers day at the weekend and although i don't have to spend much i have to get cards[step dad as well] and a little something so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for afew agency shifts to see me through.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240
