my heads starting to turn to mush now.
i've been on the site most of the morning trying to get some inspiration.recieved another letter from the bank this morning about bank charges,i think thats the forth this month.thats £100 that i'll never see,not that i ever had it in the first place.i'm sure the next letter will be to say that something hasn't been paid as i have no money.
i've been trying to work out how a card to do a bt onto.i used to do these all the time and not think anything of it.i'm paying a small amount if interest on my mbna card due to missing a payment when i first got it.and i pay 21.9% on my barclaycard.between them is about £2,200 debt.but i want to t/f it all onto one card but i'm not sure one new card will let me t/f that much,if they even give me a card at all.i want to be able to find that out without going through the whole application process only to be turned down or offered i very low credit limit and then have to do the whole thing again with someone else and blow what ever little bit of credit rating i may still have.
i'm going to go away and think about it some more.there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

well it's amazing the difference afew hours can make.
a while after i wrote the last post the agency phoned and offered me lots of shifts over the next 2 weeks.just the thought that i have the potential to make some extra money to bring the overdraft down is like a weight being lifted.
i've been reading back through some of my diary posts and am shocked at how depressing and negative they all are.so i want to try and do more positive things.
the biggest problem for me at the moment is the bank charges i'm paying so i'm going to chance my arm and try and reclaim some bank charges.if i was to get any small amount back it may be just enough to get me back to where i need to be.i know it's not a quick or easy thing[especially with barclays]but i think i have a very strong case of hardship which any fool only has to look at the figures to see.and at the end of the day nothing ventured nothing gained.they can only say no.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

Evening greenanne
Hope you had a good christmas and didn't work too hard.
Glad to near you have some extra shifts but don't work yourself to the bone. The overdraft will go down eventually, mine has taken over 18 months and then I managed to do a 0% transfer to an account so paid it off. Now i'm doing my best to get the CC paid off before the 0% runs out.
Will now go back to my hideyhole and lurk.
Take care

well last but one post this year.
have had quite a busy day at work and got quite wet so have spent the evening relaxing in front of the tv in my pyjamas.
got my payslip today which always makes depressing reading, won't even pay off half the overdraft.will pay off enough for the dd's to start coming out.i've got a night shift with the agency for new yeasr eve night which should be a good earner and then another night on monday.the good thing about the agency is that they pay weekly so i will get all that pay next saturday.that will help with the dd's that come out slightly later in the month.
enjoy the last day of 2011 every one:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

ok this is my last post of the year.
i'd love to say that i'm going to make lots of resolutions but i'm rubbish at keeping them so instead i'm going to do little things to help me get my finances more under control.
firstly i'm going to make sure i come back to the site every day as filling in my diary and the challenges i've been doing helps me stay motivated.
secondly i'm going to restart filling in my spending diary as this was helpful to see where money was going.
thirdly i'm going to try and apply for a new cc as my barclay card has quite a bit on it now and it's not 0%.i've been putting this off as i'm frightened of being refused or not being offered a high enough amount and so having to try someone else and what lots of applications may do to my credit rating.
anyway, thats enough to be getting on with.i'm of to work later.i hope all you guys have a great evening and a very happy and prosperous 2012.:beer:there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

ok,new year here i come.
was off to a good start.i worked a night shift new years eve.someone told me that what ever your doing at the start of the year you'll do all year.
on new years day i decised to bight the bullet and apply for a new credit card.i did martins credit checker which said i had a good chance of being accepted.i was however refused.i've never been declined for anything to do with credit before.i was gutted.
i'm not that fussed about it now that i've had time to think about it.i have used it over the last month just to get by and mainly to buy my petrol.i'm paying loads of interest so what better motivation to not use it any more and to try and pay as much off it as quickly as possible.so along with my overdraft these have become my top priorities.
meanwhile i have still got £30 sitting in my room that a friend gave me for christmas to 'get something for myself'.so far i've resisted the temptation to pay a bill with it,but it's hard.
i've got a night shift for tonight so i'm off to get a quick nap.
enjoy the rest of your day everyone.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

after my night shift i was woken this morning by a phone call from the bank trying to sell me insurance of all things.she asked if there was anything she could help with.i said can you please stop taking money off me that i havn't got and getting me deeper into debt.but of cause she couldn't do anything about that.
i went to asda to get shopping for a month.i forgot my list though so missed afew things.i spent £43 but only had £42 so i had to put something back.it felt really embarrasing.i took some books back to the library that were overdue.i havn't used the library for ages so i nearly died when she sheepisly said i owed £7.she said i didn't have to pay it all now which was just as will,i paid£2.i'm mad at myself for not taking them back sooner.:othere is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

thats it,all the christmas decorations are down and back in the loft.tinsel is hoovered up and christmas is officially over for another year in greenanne's house.
on a positive note i have just phoned barclays and spoke to a very helpful young lady in deli who is going to send me a list of my transactions for the last 6 years.it will cost £5 but it will be money well spent if i can get something back.i'm not building my hopes up but i am going to try hard, that way anything i get will be a bonus.
i'll be back later.:)there is no wealth but lifesealed pot challenge#240

Hi there Greenanne
Goog for you getting all that work at Christmas and New Year. It must be at least double time, no?
Your plans to keep writing your diary every day for motivation is a good one. I know writing mine hepls me loads. And don't worry if it sounds miserable, that's what these diaries are for!
About the 0% credit card...keep applying. They really are all different. I was turned down by Mr T but another MSE-er encouraged me to apply elsewhere and I got one in the end. It has transformed my debt repayment journey as I'm paying loads less interest.
Best of luck with it all in the new year. I have a feeling 2012 is going to be great.
:snow_laugIf you know you have enough, you're rich.0
