haha, we've just moved into our first home.. we don't have a floor cover in the bathroom! I do like the whole bubblebath, candles thing - good plan batman. It would certainly be a big pot of tea as she doesn't like wine that much.
Last time i made a romantic meal i found out that a) she doesn't like stuffed vine leaves, olives OR salad, b) she doesn't like George-forman grilled chicken.
I think her ideal meal would be a big greasy fry up.. quite amusing as she pretends to be classy0 -

As I said, after a full shift on her feet, something simple and that she hasn't had to cook should go down a storm (even fish and chips from the chippy) - well it would work for me.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
awww..... this is all so sweet
I'm thinking now of pampering my new beau at home, instead of getting him to take me out for a meal.
I'll cook him something, run him one of my special baths, and give him a nice massage - he does work really hard :lovethoug0 -
Am I the only one thinking of something saucy for Valentines?
OH and I have just bought our house and will be living apart for a month (work commitments) so I'm going to finish early and travel over (as a surprise) for a bit of the other(!), taking with me a goody basket of naughty surprises.
I personally think that romance is for any time of year (not Valentines - too contrived) and we take Valentines as an excuse for a bit of naughtiness! I'd much rather get racy undies than a teddy with a heart on (got loads of teddies from OH already)0 -
Im doing valentines day this year!
Taking my G/F to the cloud 23 bar in manchester, then onto panacea for a meal. Its our first valentines day together and she comes home from working away in new york on the 13th so wont have seen her for a week so want to make it special. Also going to do a collage of pictures of me and her in a frame. I think its the thoughtful prezzies that make it that bit extra special.Debt at lightbulb moment £9500Credit Card NOTHING! :T :TALL DEBTS PAID OFFProud to be dealing with my Debt!0 -

My husband has never brought me anything for valentines day so won't be expecting anything diffierent this year. I didn't even get an anniversary card (11 years 20th Jan) so I can definately say no chance!
But never mind, his lack of preparation takes nothing away from the fact that I know he loves me so a hug and and kiss sort of makes up for it.almost!
Shock update - got an anniversary card today, only a week late but at least it's there!0 -
We recycle old Valentines cards and send each other an email saying soppy things:D
This year's anniversary is a biggie - 25 years so will make a big deal of it. Otherwise it is the same as Valentines. It is 8 days after Valentine's day, so romance is still in the air.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
No, we did when we first went out but it was just a bit tacky really and not worth it. It's not a celebration I really get, I mean personally we try and do nice things often and don't need to be told a day when we can do it, our anniversery type thing is a week before, might do something then but money will be spent together on a nice meal or drink, not on cards and paper (though I might get crafty or something)
We decided to do this together though.
Don't know if people will find this unromantic, but we're thinking next year of celebrating christmas a week later, everything we bought was half price the next day here. Not sure how the family would feel though0
