You know...a healthy relationship.
Another sucker, who hasn't read the small print:o:D

Hahahahaha, this thread has made it into Martin's weekly email. How cool!!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

Subject access request (Data Protection Act) Under the Data Protection Act, individuals can ask to see the information about themselves that is held on computer and in some paper records. If an individual wants to exercise this subject access right, they should write to the person or organisation that they believe is processing the data.A subject access request must be made in writing and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee. In most cases, the maximum fee will be £10, but this can vary, particularly if the information requested is for health or educational records. If a subject access request is made to a credit reference agency for financial information (ie a credit file), then the fee is £2, and the information must be provided within seven working days. A request must include enough information to enable the person or organisation to whom the subject is writing to satisfy itself as to their identity and to find the information.
Please be aware that if you submit a subject access request to Wife Finance, an audio file of your full details (particularly any failures) will be immediately available. This will be many hours long and, due to a design fault, will only play at greatly increased volume.
Should your information be from years ago, you may ignore the above text requesting full details to identify you. The mere mention of your first name will be sufficient to dredge up all required data, unless Wife Finance is deliberately refusing to acknowledge your request.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
The good thing about WFI is that being part of a joint bank agreement, I can go back into his bank account and move the said debt as and when I decide that the agreement period is over!!! (we've got a joint facility with individual accounts within)
I know that noone likes it when the Bank does it, but if I didn't take control now and again, I'd still be waiting for the £2.50 I lent him the day I met him! He's cool with it - or he'd change his password.Always on the hunt for a bargain.
Always grateful for any hints, tips or guidance as to where the best deals are:smileyhea0 -

Word of caution, he may switch bank account without giving you notice, keep a carefull eye on all his correspondence to monitor the situation. if he looks likely to jump ship, five years worth of prepayments is the minimum you should budget for:cool:

I have always found WFI to be quite reasonable, although for some reason the statute of limitations does not seem to apply and events of 20 years ago are still game for use in an argument
However FSTs are the real problem

I have found that a data protection disclosure is often free from WFI. In fact, I often get one without asking, at high volume, for extended periods. It is calling over delivering of customer service, apparantly.0 -
Wife Finance also takes a dim view of you using the loan to buy goods other than the original stated purpose of the loan. This includes sweeties when the loan was to purchase milk. Treats are at the sole discretion of Wife Finance, and for a very limited period.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
