Being an operative of OH loans (GF division) I can state for a fact that failure to pay (or 'stick a ring on it') will result in your assets being stripped then slashed.

It is possible in times of austerity to avoid this terrible consequence if at the time of taking the loan you were smart enough to take PPI (Penis Protection Insurance).

I'd heard this was riddled with get out clauses and loopholes.

And "sticking a ring on it" doesn't always work either, as it seems that the ring needs to be of quite significant value, much more than the initial loan to settle this debt...................

As to how these agents operate - well it tends to be in packs, in locations with alcohol being served, and they use honeytrap techniques to lure you in and then exploit their lending potential when your in a moment of weakness, generally after stripping you of any accumulated assets you had in reserve!

You all seems to be forgetting the benefits of this type on loan, everything is on offer, plus you have unlimited use of all the facilities, at the drop of a trousers. Cooking and cleaning has also been thrown in as an optional extra. And we do provide headache pills on request.

Although I accept your argument here, it is a widely known fact that should a director need to operate the Brabantia after repeated requests for said non director to, it will only lead to fees and interests being incurred onto the original loan, thus making the minimum payments increase further.

As for the PPI insurance - not worth the paper it is written on...

Also it is strictly forbidden to complain about usage of any repayments.

Loan requests may only be made at certain times of the month, requests made at any other time may result in violence.

Defaulting will mean permanent withdrawal of further credit facilities and withdrawal of priviledges

Other payment methods will be considered. (I accept Clubcard vouchers )

I think it's the OP's own fault for not checking the T&Cs...

But I also think that there's a 'system' where those who are already struggling with WFI loans DON'T tell those who have not yet succumbed to this form of finance EXACTLY what's involved. I think those users who have already availed themselves of WFI (and associated companies) are duty bound to pass on the message about these companies. Maybe someone should alert Martin to this problem?

Mind you I might JUST be 'bitter' because I have had not one but TWO defaulters!
