I've just done this. Tried to do it on-line but I couldn't so I telephoned and they said there was a glitch on their web site. Tried to get me to take a Cash back card for fuel etc and open a Current Account paying 5% up to £2.5k. If you opt for monthly interest then esaver Issue 4 pays 3.06%. If annually, then pays 3.1%. The Issue 3 was closed and I didn't lose any interest according to the guy I spoke to and would appear in the newly opened Issue 4 Acccount. He said there was a 10k limit of withdrawls on-line but if you need to withdraw anymore then you just telephoned a number which flashed up when you reached your limit. Pretty simple process in fact.

if its spotted dont moan when they force close two or all 3 of them as you have breached what appears to be a clear note in the T&CS

i used to be a real old abbey customer with a old school passbook style account which i closed off 3 years ago . i now signed uo for an ionline e saver 3 days ago . I only just got a reference. whats next in the post?

i opened my 3.1 in feb 2012 over internet just received an email confirmation , and another email to send me ID in . still nothing in post yet .

APPALLING service - CANT EVEN open an accout

phoned up customer service who said everythings been sent out in post and got transferred about to get it resent .

thank god this account failed to open . still did not hear any response on my account application . news of people in spain/ greece all going to banks withdrawing money
