It's OK in IE..the apply online button has a list of accounts below it - this doesn't appear in firefox.
Strangely during the app process I entered up my email address and it said sorry we have that one on file already -please enter an alternative one - so I did and it accepted it....wierd.
Yeah, Santander wants to track how many people are clicking on the link, so it goes through doubleclick.net, which I had blocked from my computer. Temporarily unblocked it and then it worked. You should just have disabled adblock rather than using IE though.. you might get an automated fraud prevention call from them, which happened last week when I tried logging in from another computer in my house (different browser, same IP). Told me to call an expensive number, must have been them as its my OTP phone that nobody else has. I ignored it and nothing has happened so far.
It didn't ask me to enter an email.. the form was autopopulated with the email I gave them when I opened my esav3.0 -

It didn't ask me to enter an email.. the form was autopopulated with the email I gave them when I opened my esav3.
When I logged in via IE the login sequence when off into an extra subroutine where I was asked some additional security questions- and having passed them it went on back into the rest of the standard login sequence.
No calls yet!
Most of my form was, as you say, autopopulated. It just wanted me to enter up and confirm on the next line my email address - I knew which one Santander had so made sure it was the same one again so was rather surprised to see that they wanted an aternate.
Anyway the account was opened OK0 -
Ok I have just opened an Esaver Issue 4 and transfered my money from my Issue 3. Should I just leave the Issue 3 with no money in it or do I need to contact Santander to close it. What will happen to the interest earned so far which has not been paid yet?0

My esaver2 interest was credited to esaver 3 on the 1 year anniversary of opening the esaver2, so just leave the account with 0 and I guess the interest will come in on the 1 year anniversary of opening your esaver3.0

I am getting the error message on the online application too where it will not accept my current e-mail address and I do not want to supply any other e-mail address.
When I changed over from issue 2 to issue 3, the Santander person on the phone was quite helpful. They arranged for the closure of my issue 2 account as well as opening up the issue 3 account. A few days later the old account was closed with closing interest transferred to the new account.
I will do the issue 4 application and issue 3 closure by telephone when they re-open tomorrow.

If I open this by phone will they do it without requiring evidence? Last time I tried to open their eSaver (when it was 3.0%) online it asked for evidence, even though I did it via the Online Banking pages.0

I always get asked for Proof of ID and proof of address when opening an account at a new bank but for some reason Santander asked me for them even though I'm already a customer last time I tried to open an eSaver online.0
