Fwiw, eggs and dairy are supposed to be good for Vit B12, as is Marmite. I don't eat meat or fish either. _pale_ I even have to hold my breath if we go past a butchers or a fishmongers, and I avoid those aisles in the supermarket! *shudders*
Thank you LW. I've been researching all afternoon and found that out too, sadly they are only low sources so I guess it all depends on how low my B12 is (Dr didn't say). I'm gonna wait til my appointment before I make any choices. Oh and I hate Marmite! :rotfl:

Evening all,
Apparently craving Marmite is a sign that you're low on B vitamins. I felt half dead a few weeks ago and found myself searching for Marmite breadsticks (they don't seem to have them anywhere any more), but I've been more lively since taking a B complex supplement.
On the subject of housework, I have used 3 plastic carrier bags to pick up all of the house elf's toys that were scattered around so I could find the floor to vacuum it. If he wants something - tough. If he and his little mates had put things back where they belonged then he'd be able to find them. I will put everything away properly when I feel the need or have time. Probably not any time soon :rotfl: I have been knitting this afternoon as the boy wanted a day indoors to relax. If he can have a day off, then so can I.
Oh, and I nearly forgot to say, I was all excited when I had my gas and electric bill. I'm in credit which I would expect at this stage any way, but it also says I'm using less gas and less electric than this time last year.
Lou my dishwasher wasn't doing too well - it had a spoon and a sticky bread bag tag in the hole in the bottom. Since I removed them, it's been fine.
Julie67 at a guess, you managed with 4 because they played with/fought with each other. I only have one, and he talks mainly at me when we're in the house. I love it when he has a friend round to bear the brunt of it!
Take care all of you.0 -
*Now has unbearable craving for Marmite on toast*:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Flutterby - I am B12 deficient as is Candygirl too (I think). I crave oily fish when in need of an injection which is about every 8/9 weeks at the moment. In fact its a sign as i generally dont like fish that much.
B12 deficiency can make you feel like death warmed up and might be contributing to your dizziness so it's worth getting it rectified. The injections have no side-effects and any excess is excreted. They make you feel much better within a couple of days but are a tad on the stingy side but so worth it!
I craved marmite when pregnant with all my babies. In fact it was how I realised that I was probably pregnant with DS3. Well Kids Dad commented when he found me spooning it out of a jar. In fact have you seen the latest Aldi advert for Mayonnaise...I eat it on everything...I could be pregnant.....dippy looking woman staring into space with the dawning realisation that she hasn't had a period for a while.....well that was me and marmite!!!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Evening all
I've had a very productive day, went with a friend for last sort out of her late mum's flat, we dusted & vac'd, brought home the last two chairs that we'd used whenever we went over, the telephone, packed up the tea, coffee & mugs. We dropped the keys off at the estate agents, went for a sandwich at a nearby deli & whilst we were there the solicitor rang to say everything was done & dusted & that my friend would have the money from the sale of the property in her account by the end of the day. That really made us feel good (not sure why I felt that way as it's not my money, lol) but we both felt a sort of 'Job well done' feeling. I gained a cane chair for the garden & a large button phone, very useful with my eyesight the way it's going.
Have a good evening everybody.
Hugs Hester

Flutterby vit b12 deficiency can cause sensory ataxia which would account for your dizziness and vertigo feeling.
Eggs are a good source as are dairy foods and inparticular swiss cheese and parmesan. Marmite obviously and cereals are usually fortified with it.
You may need to take supplements tho as the best sources are meat and fish based products.
:oNot posted on here much as not doing much...just sorting hens out and getting used to them, having a bit of a rest and waiting for my boy to come back on mon morning0 -

Thanks both :A. I've been wondering whether it has been affecting my dizzyness too after reading up about it. My Dad has sent me 3 emails tonight with links about how fish/meat is so beneficial for it, and it is true. I guess I need to weigh up stuff. Like i said it's not really ethical reasons why I veggie, it's how I was brought up, and TBH (and I know this sounds silly) but I'm a bit scared of trying fish or meat
I'm a bit funny with textures of stuff, I don't even like quorn stuff.
