Hi everyone
:hello: and Welcome Newbies
Quiet day today, been to town to pick up new lenses for our glasses, however, mine are not reactalite ones now, as they should be, but it is our friends opticians, so know it will be sorted. Had the old lenses into a spare frame, as on the continent you have to carry spare glasses if you drive, so I have my old ones to fall back on until the new ones are fixed.
Been naughty and had F&C for late lunch/dinner, all oven cooked, Aldi Battered Haddock, 4 nice size thick pieces for £2.49 and oven chips. Certainly much cheaper then the chippie, and I took the batter off mine too, and only had a few chips as a rare treat.
All being well DS will exchange on his flat today, and get the keys for next week.
Bought some new bedding for the caravan yesterday, to match the upholstery on the new (in May) 'van. I knew Sanderson was the official matching ones, but they design/colour was sold out, so went into our local H0fF outlet, and they had some almost the same, and I felt sure the colour was right, and it was, they were -50% and then -a further 25%.:T:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D:D:D Washed them this morning and left them out while we went to town, so they are dry and folded now. Not thinking about ironing atm.:eek:

Welcome Newbies. Haven't been here long myself but it's amazing how quickly you get to know people.
Have been up to my eyes for the past couple of days, mostly preparing for tomorrow when I'm helping at a wedding tomorrow morning - did the flowers in the church this am - single handedly (it appears) providing tea for 100+ people tomorrow afternoon and going to a BBQ in the evening. Have made a few traybakes, coffee and walnut, lemon, choc brownies and shortbread. Rocky Road, Malteser bake and peanut butter biscuits to be made this evening and that will have to do. It would have been much easier to have bought some Penguins and Twix but not nearly as much fun. Or so I keep telling myself.
A lovely day here today. it needs to be after the cold, damp, dismal day we had yesterday. I felt so sorry for the holiday-makers dripping round the shops shrouded in plastic macs.
Love and hugs to everyone feeling under the weather.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Not 100% sure on what it all means, gonna look online in a bit and have appt for monday to discuss. My Dad has it too and has to have monthly injections. I sent my dad a quick email to let him know and he said the best thing he has done is start eating fish cos apparantly some have lots of B12. Thing is I'm a lifelong vegetarian, I've never ever tried meat or fish, and TBH don't really want to
. I'm not veggie for ethical reasons as such, but still don't want to. Will have to thoroughly research it.
Just so fed up of being constantly unwell. Anyway enough moaning.

100 grams butter - I use Stork naturally
200 grams milk choc
3 tblsps golden syrup
Melt the above and add to -
225 grams crushed digestives and 225 grams maltesers.
Mix quickly and pour into lined swiss roll tin.
Chill till set. You could drizzle melted white choc over top if you'd a mind to.
Actually it's not baked at all so why is it called Malteser Bake? One of life's mysteries I suppose.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I know, I know but when you're in the house 24/7 it gets a bit much looking at it all
Thanks for the hugs guys. I seem to have completely lost my mojo this last week. If you find it can you send it back to meI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
