Morning,
Didn't get a chance to post on yesterday's post as had the OH's kids all day whilst I tried to WFH. Today the weather seems lovely although I don't feel too well, not sure what's wrong just feel a bit icky and going to find it hard focusing at work (glad I work at home sometimes) I have a lady coming round today to buy some books (Sold £35 so happy) and putting at least two loads of washing on then out on the line to dry, only bedding to do at the weekend.
Don't get test results for three weeks so an anxious wait trying not to think about it too much.
Hugs to all who need them, so glad it's Friday.....0 -

Hi everyone
Hope you don't mind me jumping on board - I found this forum a couple of weeks ago and it could have been made for me! I've always been interested in all things OS, so it's great to see so many like-minded people!
I have a nice quiet day planned - no work for me today, so an opportunity to catch up with the housework and make a dent in the laundry pile. My young DDs are behaving themselves so far...
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Morning All,
Its a gorgeous morning here, I won't hold my breath it will last though.
Molly, I hope you get some rest today, although I haven't been posting, I have been reading, and you sound really worn out / down by your health just now. xxx
Candy I hope your ankle is a bit better today. xxx
Lamewolf I am sending you lots of virtual hugs and positive vibes over the ether today. I have a wee Coco story to make you smile.
Last night, at about 8pm, I was on the phone to my sister, when Coco walked to just in front of the kitchen doorway, stopped, put her tail down and started to growl. She sounded really worried, and nervous, and was starting to become a bit agitated and making slightly aggresive noises - nothing much, because she was more terrified. She had me convinced the was someone in the kitchen, and I was a bit nervous myself about standing up - event though the kitchen door is locked and we have a six foot fence round the garden. But I did. What was the source of her fear, who was the "big bad man" in my kitchen? My ironing board! :rotfl: The iron rest is oval in shape, and I suppose in the dusky light it could look a bit like a man's silhouette.
Yesterday after doing some ironing (first in a loooooooooooooooong time) I left the ironing board standing against the worktop in front of the kitchen window, which meant in was right in the line of sight from the livingroom - I either need to iron more often, or take the board back upstairs out of her way! Poor baby, she was so relieved when I picked it up and moved it, she could not have done more tricks for me. Left paw, right paw, hi five, rollover, all one after the other, interspersed with lots of kisses and tailwagging.
So, I am about to wash the dishes and hang a wash out (I hope the rain stays away) and then I am off with my youngest sister to find a wedding dress. She is getting married next June, but seems to think there will be a wedding dress shortage between now and then.
Have a great day everyone,

Morning all,
Woke feeling so much better and happier on seeing the clear blue sunny skies, have done a wash and it's drying nicely. BARGAIN B at least your washing had a good rinse. I have to mow the newish lawn today and do weeding. DH used to mow the lawn using a flymo but I like to see stripes so I use the lec push along. I've loads of tiny mushrooms growing everywhere, the more I pull them out the more they spread, anyone else had this prob ? help needed please
.
Dinner will be a lovely Rogan Josh that's been marinating overnight, hm bhajis and a saag aloo with pilau rice. A bottle of wine for pud me thinks. Plan to excavate the freezer for a leg of lamb I know is hiding in there, that will be for Sunday roast studded with garlic & rosemary I have growing in the garden.
Now I have my energy back I'll vacume up & down and threaten the ironing pile.
JULIE, what a busy bee you are.
FLUTTER, glad the acupunture went well.
CANDY, Ouch, did you manage to hobble to the pub ?

Congrats sistercas and taplady. Flutteryby, glad the accupuncture went well let's hope it works! Hope your sis finds a nice dress, I saw some lovely cheapish (<£300) ones in a Brides magazine at work yesterday and I don't usually like wedding dresses.
I'm having a bit of a slow morning at work, just checking (and drooling over) some home magazines and feeling v restless- I want to be out doing something!
I got up a bit late and completely forgot to set up the SC so I shall have to actually cook tonight  Not sure what... all I can think of is cake :rotfl:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Gintot, I just read your post on the homemakers' thread - I didn't realise you'd left your job, sorry about that, must have been lost somewhere in wedding land.
I hope you are enjoying your time at home. x
