Morning all.
Jackieg oh, bless little Coco; thanks for posting that, it did make me smile!:D
We still have Terrier Ted with us - he's here for a massive 18 day holiday, and has been here a week already. He's just told the postie exactly what he thinks of him :rotfl: but I've reassured him (Ted) that it's OK today, all that came was £8 towards my trip to Mr T on Sunday morning - a £5 Mr T Moneycard because I complained bitterly about something to them, and £3 in luncheon vouchers for doing an online survey.:D
I'm extremely tired today; we had to visit some friends of Mr LW's last night (purpose being to get them to witness a Codicil to our wills) and socialising always knocks the stuffing out of me, because I find it so very stressful. They're lovely people, don't get me wrong; it's just I have such awful social phobia.:( Still, it's done now.:o
We have to bath Ted tonight; he has a skin condition, and has to have a bath with special shampoo twice weekly (vet's orders). We've already bathed him once, with no problems, so it should be fine.:o
Going to pour myself a coffee now (I have a filter jug full on the go, to last me all day) in the hope that a spot of caffeine will wake me up a bit.:o
Have a good day all; and for those who've just got their exam results, congrats if you did well, and if you didn't get quite what you'd have liked, pick yourself up, and have a look what path is now opened up for you - there's bound to be one.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Jackie G - lovely to see you back and posting. I know exactly what you mean about dogs reactions to different things. Molly hates wheely bins and will bite the wheels of any offending bins when out for a walk. They dont even have to move for them to get her hackles up.
Lamewolf - rest up today my friend xx
Welcome to the new folk aka Evie and Stormy Waters - we are a very friendly and accepting bunch:T
Again my thanks regarding the support for DD. She seems just fine this morning and looking forward to new adventures. I think it helps that her dad is taking her to New York (which she has saved for) and they are in the process of planning it now.
Ok well Im going to peruse this new thread and think I may join as Im at home......I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all!
Well looks like a very sunny windy day here in the north. supposed to get to a whopping 18 degrees, i don't mind either way as long as its not raining!
Haven't been on for a while as we've been so busy , oh and OH steling the pc every five minutesbut everything's finally calming down. We took a well deserved campoing holiday cost a fortune, but it was fab. Love North Yorkshire, can't beat wandering round whitby. Went to London and we ended up spending less there than we did at camping
Me or OH has not found any work yet, but were still looking.
Congrats or commiserations for those with results .
Garden wise, i impressed my dad with the leeks , shocked with carrot cake, he can't believe how much stuff we have growing. Cheeky get got a shock when i said i put the hanging baskets up myself, then tried to yank them to see if i'd done them right. Dad's who'd have them lol
we haven't much from the garden due to the cats, slugs, snails, bird yes you name it it scaled the 7 ft high walls to get to us. But i don't mind really, its lovely seeing all this wild life. A few years ago, we barely saw a bird.
Not sure what were having food wise, just going to see whats about.
well going to drink my tea and start throwing more carp out and finish fixing the kitchen. a year later and its still not done.no matter it'll get there in the end. Then maybe do some knitting, and a slice of cake.
Have a good day all x0 -

Afternoon all
Stil feeling a bit wobbley but better than I have been. But I rung Doctors today to get results of last week's blood tests and I have low Vitamin B12. Not 100% sure on what it all means, gonna look online in a bit and have appt for monday to discuss. My Dad has it too and has to have monthly injections. I sent my dad a quick email to let him know and he said the best thing he has done is start eating fish cos apparantly some have lots of B12. Thing is I'm a lifelong vegetarian, I've never ever tried meat or fish, and TBH don't really want to. I'm not veggie for ethical reasons as such, but still don't want to. Will have to thoroughly research it.
Just so fed up of being constantly unwell. Anyway enough moaning.
My work kids were back todayand were all concerned about me being ill. I have missed them whilst they have been on work placement. We took them raft building (which we do directly outside my new flat!). Always lots of fun, they all fell in :rotfl::rotfl:. I then came home early as had no other work to do in office.
I'm currently sitting on sofa with laptop and watching carp tv. And plan on staying here! TFI Friday :rotfl:
OS wise - packed lunch made this morning, dinner may be freezer surprise or takeway.
Have a good day all
