That how I do it in my house "someone is coming cleaning". Thing is by that point its pretty bad and I'm shattered after I've done it all. I need to keep on top of things I think. I am also aware that we have far to much c**p in the house, and the more stuff you have the harder it is to look after.
Decluttering is going to be a big mission for me.

Can I come and sit in a corner please? Am only just really starting to commit to Old Style; it always seemed like too much effort and planning before!
I had to give up work a couple of years ago through ill health and, having always defined myself by the work I did, have struggled to find my place in the world, but I'm getting there!
I'm 48, live alone, no children and am on a very much reduced income. I struggle with pain and lack of energy, but am trying to set up a good housekeeping and cooking regime and it's starting to work. I've spent the last 8 weeks gradually decluttering my house and my life as I don't feel the need to have so much "stuff" anymore. It's been liberating.
Not sure how much I will be able to contribute with my Old Style "L plate", but I'm willing to learn!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

I am but thats because I'm too broke to buy much lol. Seriously though I do think carefully about 'stuff' before I buy and hate clutter so everything I own has to earn is keep - only had a few wish I hadn't purchases (bread maker)People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I just realised that "stuff" was a safety blanket for me that I no longer need.
Bought stuff to make me happy, frightened to get rid of it in case I couldn't afford to replace it. However, I now have hobbies (OK I have a large knittiing yarn stash) and friends and don't feel the need to surroumd myself with things anymore.
Also, my curcumstances mean I've moved house 8 times in 6 years (at least one more move to go) and I got tired of dragging extraneous stuff from house to house. It started to feel like a ball and chain and without it I feel liberated!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

I hate my breadmaker with a vengeance....I have yet to get a decent loaf out of it no matter what recipe I try!
I just make up dough in it sometimes...and then bake in my oven.A family that eats together, stays together
