good, just sitting watching Rosemary's baby (not sure why) and cross stitching. It's only just beginning to take shape. (I should have known it would take a while with there being 5 shades of white
)

I also then have the darker outlines to work with
How are you doing?, dropping it off and then taking him to work) I'm taking a friend to get her kids Christmas presents as, for one reason or another, she hasn't managed it yet... Wednesday is dentist, but at least DH will be off for Christmas (other than job 2 on the weekends) then, so both him and the car will be available.
I've got some rather irritating hiccups going on right now!
When does your DH break for Christmas?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
That is an incredibly busy week.
DH's has Christmas day and boxing day off. As we aren't celebrating this year he volunteered to do the Christmas period so other people could spend it with their families. FIL is coming round on Wednesday. Yay! (sarcastic) It's the first time he has seen where we live and we have been together 10 years. Not sure if they will be staying for dinner but it does mean I will have to disinfect the house and make sure its perfect (think there will be a lot stored in the car)

Will you miss having him to hide out with?

Have you forgiven him for the letter yet, or do you think it will come up? I feel like I can almost feel your DH's tension from here..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
We have a storage off site which I may use.
We are used to his father and pretty much get on with it. We were both surprised that he came to the funeral considering he refused to come to the wedding and any other family events. (Disowned DH sisters about 18 years ago and doesn't acknowledge their existence)
It should be fun
Christmas and boxing day will be me and DH playing computer games 24hours with mulled wine and crabbies. I am trying to persuade DH to purchase the yard of jaffa cakes sainsburys are selling
Are you having a full on family Christmas or was that what the family gathering was for?Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

(that would be a very dangerous option for me! I don't even allow myself to store things in the loft)

No, not full on. Lower key. I'll do a glorified roast dinner with a turkey breast thingy that's in the freezer at MILs, with just DH and MIL. Exchange a couple of gifts, eat some food, watch some tele. See my folks a couple of days later, when MIL's sister is here with her. It was my side that we met up with on Sunday, as I'm one of quite a few and I don't meet up with them all, so sis threw a relatively low-key gathering at hers. DH doesn't have a lot in the way of family, so the biggest faff is over now really.
I think we'll be far more interested in "big" Christmas when there's some LOs about "I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I 2nd that.
I generally love Christmas but just wasn't in the mood this year. Hopefully next year we will have a lo to share it with and it can return to being a happy time of year.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

It'll be our turn soon
I think it will be a little weird not being with at least my (very enthusiastic 8yo) niece on Christmas eve/day, but she was loving it on the weekend and I was there to witness that, so maybe it won't be so weird...
We basically didn't bother with Christmas last year (similar lack-of-LOs reasoning), other than a couple of gifts and drove to my folks (which meant not having to deal with the faff of "christmas food"). Didn't do decorations or anything.
