  • Thanks Emsbet, just been doing my own bit of googling myself too!!
I cant seem to work it out though as my body seems to match certain symptoms of an anovulatory cycle but also a normal one too...

    Heres a quick overview:
Came off pill in March/April - have had regular periods ever since (approx 33/34 day cycle) with no exception.
When started testing for ov - I have always got a positive around day 18/19 then have got AF approx 14 days later. Seems too regular for an anovulatory cycle - so assuming ov HAS been happening. If it was anovulatory dont think it would have been quite so regular???

This month I am now on cd41 - I did have positive opks about 2 and half weeks ago but now sign of AF and about 5 BFN's so far....

Guess I'll just have to wait until next month and see what happens - if nothing may have to take a trip to the docs in the new year to see what they say....

From what you've said about your cycles prior to this one they usually are regular and so I think that with the positive OPKs probably mean that you do ov.
This month's chart looks like an anovulatory cycle as there is no clear temp shift. There are many thing that can cause an anovulatory cycle other than something like PCOS, including any changes in diet, exercise and stress.

The girls who have PCOS might be able to give you better answers than I can but to me it seems like this cycle is a blip. I'd do like you said, see how the next cycle goes and if it's the same then maybe have a chat with your doctor.

    xx

  • I do worry a little about PCOS as I am overweight but its too early to tell whether this is a blip or something that may happen more often. I dont think ive been overly stressed this month but something may have happened to cause it so will just keep my eye on it over the next few weeks!!

good excuse anyway to enjoy a few drinks over Christmas and just start afresh in 2012!!!!

Morning ladies, hope everyone has a good Sunday. Having a lazy day and tidying up house a bit and then out tonight round friends for Christmas drinks.

Going to the doctors tomorrow night to ask for some help and advice as been over two years of ttc with no success. Feel really nervous about it and hope doctor takes me seriously.

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all xx

I think I'm going to have to rely on OPKs for mine this month as my temps seem a bit crazy the last few days. Although I'm hoping it's just because I've been going to bed later over the weekend.

    What's your ss?

Good luck at the doctors tomorrow, I'm sure he/she will take you seriously and you will get on fine. Am I right in thinking you are a similar age to me/us? (I'm late 30's and he is late 40's? Our ages were what got our GP shifting-she was keen not to faff about) Are you going on your own or is your OH going with you?
Lots of questions there-sorry! Good luck :)
