Trying for a Baby Part 7

It's not as if I can project any nuturing feelings towards any kids in my family, as there aren't any, my sis is the youngest at 25! So my friends' children are getting very spoiled this year.
Oh well at least it will save you money. I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew. My bank balance is a lot lower due to them :rotfl:
And now I look after 2 kids for a job I couldnt resist buying them a small present each too.
At least today was a fairly 'normal' day looking after them. Yesterday they had 2 friends round, and we had a power cut  it was completely pitch black. Thank god it only lasted for about 10 minutes and the little boy had a torch in his room or it could have been a lot worse!0 -

Tinkwings, late BFP could mean you ov'd late, implanted late or that you have one of those babies who emit hcgs late:D
sexymouse, for being cool ex babysitter:D
MV, IVF for 10 years:shocked: I suppose I should persevere for a bit longer:o
emsbet, I know you get pg easily, you will get pg very soon, and this time it's going to be the forever baby(((hugs))).
squ1rrels, fingers crossed it's a shy BFP:o
Are you temping ok? It doesn't look, ahem, too good...
Definitely Blond, hugs for AF
Glad you have a day off though:o
Operation CC?
kavics, fingers crossed for you friend.
MrsHappy, have they told your DH what the next step is? I'd assume they'll want to cut him up and see if there's any sperm in the making in there. If there is, then they'll probably try to find out if they can fix the piping. Good luck:o
Gorky, the first appt with the fertility specialist is usually just talk. Make sure you bring your temp charts if you have them, if not, a list of dates AF started & cycle length going back at least 6 months.
They'll probably book an appt for your internal scan, some blood tests at CD3 & 7DPO and SA for your OH.
You should wear a longish skirt for your internal appt so you don't have to strip down. Personally, I've lost all modesty, and wear anything and feel completely fine showing my bits:p
secretdebts, did the reindeer fall on you?:D0 -
He has a Dr appointment on Friday QQ, so will find out more then. My biggest concern about is that we have been told that we are not eligible for NHS treatment as I have a son from a previous relationship, so we will.have to wait and see what happens next. He is quite down tonight and I feel so sorry for him-he keeps apologising for being rubbish. I'm trying to make him feel better, but not doing very well.
Sorry for any random spelling-im on my phone!0 -

Thank you QQ
I dont do temps as my sleeping pattern is very irregular and it will be difficult to get accurate temp reading. I guess I'll rely on list of my AF dates.:)
I have a bit experience with internal scans as I do have them quite regularly for last few years and my shyness is gone long time ago :rotfl:0 -

Found an old charity badge from work & the reindeer reminded me of here & our christmas conception challenge so thought I'd wear it. Can't have been concentrating trying to put it on cause it stabbed me in the finger right hard

I had my first appointment last month. She asked about previous history, length of cycles, length of AF, how many pads/tampons were needed during AF (as if I count??), any history of STDs (for both me and DH), smoking/drinking/drugs/medications etc, did an internal and took swabs. Then ordered a load more tests and said they'd see me back in 5 months (but it's actually going to be 6Is anyone can tell me please what to expect from first visit to fertility specialist?
) for the results and decisions on the treatments. They also asked DH questions about previous children, history of STDs, drinking and smoking. Weighed us both. Told us to BD 2-3times a week and sent us out with the nurse who explained all the tests and answered any questions we had.
My advice:- Take a change of underwear with you, as you might want to change into fresh ones after the appointment, as they use lube to do the internal and swabs

- Don't expect the FS to be nice and friendly (or even female! We had to wait an extra 45mins to see a lady) - just take it as a bonus if they are.
- Don't expect the FS to give you much information on the next stages etc, they'll probably have a nurse who'll do that
- Do go in with a list of questions you want answers to, as when you get in there, if you're anything like me, your mind will go completely blank and you'll just want to cry

When my siblings started procreating we all agreed that we wouldn't buy for the parents (my siblings) but just for the kids (my nieces and nephews) :money: It works out wellOh well at least it will save you money. I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew. My bank balance is a lot lower due to them :rotfl:
Kids are easier to buy for than adults anyway, in my book
Emsbet & Tinks & everyone else on a downer
