Dammit! Why did I go on SD.com? I just find loads of things I could buy! :p

I could spend a fortune on DH this year. He's developed loads of hobbies during this year, which helpfully coincide with losing weight, so there's all these and bits and pieces that I think "oooh, he could do with that, and that, and that...oh and that!" I have to sit on my hands to stop me from just spending and spending! :p

Still not seen anything for nephew though, which is why I went on there in the first place :p

I can never find anything for OH, if he wants something he will buy it and all my 'A' material was used when we were dating.

DH isn't allowed to spend money anymore :p He used to spend it like water, when we got together and not have anything to show for it. He ended up in a lot of debt, and though he and his mother owned the house they lived in, the debt they had between them cancelled out the equity in the house they had between them. Since meeting/marrying me, they both have wiped out most if not all of their debts, and have some savings. DH now runs most purchases past me, either before buying or afterwards ;) It's taken a long time to train him! :rotfl: He was harder to buy for before though. But this year he's getting a bike (from my parents, but doesn't know it yet) so I *could* get him accessories for that, as well as for the running he's taken up this year (I think he's signed up for a 10km in January actually, thinking about it??), and he's started swimming and going to the gym - so I could get him like goggles etc too that he wants/needs, plus earphones that don't fall out when he runs, etc etc the list goes on. On top of that he bought a tablet pc this year (long story in and of itself!) which he needs/wants/could do with accessories for. And his watches are knackered. And because he's lost 3.5st+ he needs all new clothes too.

So, I'm struggling to narrow down to pick just one or two things to focus on and stick to! :p I'm quite good in that I'm a bargain hunter, and I manage to get our parents (and my siblings) to buy things that I know he wants too, so it's kind of like spreading the cost, iyswim? But when things I see are just a couple of quid, I'm tempted to cram them all in his stocking and pretend the budget we set was only for the "main present(s)" ;)

I took more drugs again tonight, and now I'm getting rather spacey! God help me when AF's gone and I have to be good again :o

Speaking of AF - why do I never fail to be surprised/peed off/put out/irritated by how gross it is each month cycle? e4616c584ada1bd002c06b9bbffd022004b87ed2.jpg

ETA: how did the brownies turn out?

think they might be ok, just waiting till I can take them out the tin. :) They smell nice and they aren't burnt which is a bonus.

I have the same thing about AF, thankfully OH is't grossed out by my 'Ewwing' whenever I go to the ladies :o

I once bought OH a 2nd hand 'playstation 2' for christmas and the week before I had to drag him out of a game shop to stop him buying one grrrr. From now on all he is getting is underwear :D

Lol I have to work hard to gross out my DH too ;) I draw the line at showing him what's disgusting me though :rotfl:

That sounds familiar! He's not allowed to buy anything for himself during December now!! He used to be a right pain for that, to the point where I either wouldn't buy til the last minute for him, or I'd keep all the receipts so I could take them back. Saying "let's see what Santa brings" got really tedious  Thankfully(?) he's too busy this year to be mooching round shops for himself ;)

Yay for the brownies! What did you do differently this time?

    Can't say the same :o

TMI: After the twins were born I was really grossed out by the clots so OH who wasn't grossed out would pretty much change me :o:o:o

I think it must be a man thing. His b'day is 1st Jan as well so you think for one month he could not get himself something.

I ignored the recipe for the brownies and didn't cook them as long (plus I used nuts which were in date :p)

    Thoughtlessness? Yep, probably! :p;)
The only person I've not bought gifts for is his mum (although that's not strictly true, I have bought her some stocking fillers!), and he doesn't even know what he's getting her yet! I really want to get the Christmas dinner food this week, before all hell breaks loose in the supermarkets next week, but I'm still waiting on DH...th_boredsmiley.gif

I reckon all recipes need tweaking here and there ;)

We are getting small 'thinking of you' presents for close family. I got all mine a while ago, wrapped them and they have been given so i don't need to drive them down. OH hasn't thought what he will get his nephew and sister. (I will probably get them at the weekend :)) well think it is good night from me now. Sleep well if you can.
